    I bet on England at 4.5. They have now come in to 3. Much better value than betting on Australia at 4/9 who have to beat India and England.

    Glad to see South Africa back in contention. Sad when the host does badly. If they can't beat Bangladesh then they don't deserve anything. In theory India could get knocked out if they are flogged by Ireland.

    Hawkeye is accurate to 3.6mm. If there is umpire's call, it should be that distance, not half a ball. Personally I would be happy to get rid of umpire's call. It won't disadvantage any particular team. It is equal to batsmen v bowlers.

    Ok fair point. Let's ignore the not outs then. Getting out twice for 99 compared to getting out for 100 and a duck. The two 99s are better for the team.

    Wow. This statistical obsession has another disciple. Just how much do you want a hundred? How about this? Dismissed for 100 and dismissed for a duck versus 99 not out and 99 not out. Surely you would go for the 99s this time?

    I'm new to this forum and I'm not sure if this deserves a thread. A question to those who play cricket, Would you prefer to get 100 and get out or get 99 not out? For me the choice is easy but everybody I have spoken to has taken the opposite option. What would you do?
