Would you pick this player in your XI?

Lets hypothetically say your country has the best fielder the game of cricket has ever seen. He is incredibly athletic with lighting fast reflexes, stopping boundaries with his Usain Bolt like pace while possessing the talent to catch any half chances within the infield or outfield. He is also...

***Official*** 4th Test at the MCG

To further add to England's conundrum of working out how to dismiss Steve Smith, he averages 127 at the MCG - scoring a century in each of the last three matches there. Also forecast for some rain day 4 and 5 which will only make it more interesting.

Best performance in a losing team?

Dev Bishoo's 8/49 against Pakistan was a great bowling effort. However it was overshadowed by Azhar Ali's triple hundred.

Best performance in a losing team?

Was reading up on Matt Renshaw and possible contact to Matthew Hayden. Haydos' 203 against India in 2001 was a great knock

Best performance in a losing team?

Stoinis' 3 wickets and 146 made me think about 'What is the best performance in a losing cause?' Performances that come to mind: Ricky Ponting 164 vs South Africa, Kumar Sangakara 192 vs Australia, Nathan Astle 222 vs England and Mitchell Starc 6/28 against New Zealand.

Anyone else getting Bevan flashbacks watching Stoinis?

Oh man we were so close. Saw the Australia at 60 odd for 6 and came back at the end. Feel for Stoinis.

    Australian Test Selection 2016/2017

I doubt there will be too many in the future in the game of cricket. The evolution of the 'allrounder' has changed; pace bowlers will naturally be genuine ball strikers and gradually improve their batting craft. Eg. Mitchell Starc and etc. Unless we find a once in a generation cricketer like a...

    Australian Test Selection 2016/2017

Mitch Marsh's batting will also be a concern in India. Does Australia have any all rounders that can bowl pace and not bat with hard hands? I wasn't too convinced with Cartwright in Sydney but I won't make any early judgements.
