5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Bumrah is to blame for Indian batters failing to chase 192 at Lords.

GG gave Brook the award because he changed the whole momentum whenever he got his runs.

Should india convert two match test series vs sa into 3 match series?

More than this, it's India's tour of New Zealand in 2026 that needs to have 3 tests! Because India will be touring after almost 7 years. Plus India's only played 4 tests in NZ in the last 16 years! It's a joke.

Should india convert two match test series vs sa into 3 match series?

There's no space in the calendar to add any extra games. Ind-SA test series starts like 5 days after the conclusion of India's whiteball tour of Australia. Plus right after the two tests there's back to back ODI and T20 series with both SA and NZ.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

So much talk about Australia's top order. If Australia's top order is messy at the moment (even though Khawaja, Marnus and Green aren't bad batters), then England's top order isn't any different with Crawley and Pope sitting there.

Is Javed Miandad an ATG test batsman?

"post-peak" when his hand eye coordination slowed a touch.

What we learned from the 5th Test

India benefited because Rahul would've done worse.

*Official* Road to the 2025-26 Ashes

Eng's record is 6-8, after 11 tests at home & just 5 tests away. Add another 5 tests away and it'll look worse. Meanwhile: India 9-7 Aus 6-5 with home ashes to come

What we learned from the 5th Test

I can't believe what I am reading. India had an injured batsman (who hadn't spent hours on the field). Pant was injured. He couldn't bat properly. India lost runs because of his injuries. First time injured finger, not allowing him to grip the bat properly. 2nd time a broken foot! India lost...

    Indian Cricket Dhaba

BCCI cares very deeply about Asia Cup. They have gone against the entire nation to play in it. So no chance they'll allow Bumrah to skip it, after a month of no cricket in August.

What we learned from the 5th Test

If Jurel had taken over from Pant in Indian conditions, then I'd have said it's a clear advantage because Jurel's a much better keeper against spin at the moment. Pant's keeping vs spin appears to have regressed a lot since his car accident.

What we learned from the 5th Test

English fans were quick to highlight anything good Jurel did but failed to highlight any mistakes he made because those mistakes suited Eng. Just yesterday he failed to run out Woakes. He lacked game awareness. It could've costed India the match. But otherwise Jurel kept much better in this test...

What we learned from the 5th Test

I am judging Jurel in comparison to Pant. India would've been better off with a fully fit Pant than...a fully fit Jurel as keeper and a not fully fit Pant as batter

What we learned from the 5th Test

English were just pissed off that Pant could come out to bat despite not keeping. So they were seeing everything through their one lens.

What we learned from the 5th Test

Jurel was somewhat worse against pace than Pant. He gave away majority of the 60 extras in that Test! (excluding noballs). He was several times late in knowing the line of the ball and thus let go easy byes. And when balls bounced right in front of him, Jurel still missed a few times. Not to...

*Official* India tour of England 2025 General Discussion

The 3 tests outside London had significant boring stretches where you weren't really glued to the match because there was very limited assistance to the bowlers.

What we learned from the 5th Test

Can't help but laugh when someone who didn't even watch the test and comes up with his own narrative!

    Indian Cricket Dhaba

Do you think Bumrah cares about this random benchmark decided by cricket nerds? I don't see him playing too many tests in the future. He's on 48 tests. He'd have a tough time reaching 60 tests the way he's going and given the lack of tests in the schedule ahead.

    Indian Cricket Dhaba

In any case it doesn't make sense him playing tests vs WI when he couldn't even play the all important 5th test vs Eng on a more sporting pitch. He even had 5 days off. India's schedule ahead- Asia Cup (Sept) 2 tests vs WI (Oct) LOs tour of Aus (Oct-Nov) 2 Tests vs SA (Nov) 3 ODIs & 5 T20s...
