Your ATG team pace bowling trio

It's insane how stupid he chooses to act. Or maybe he's just that dumb. Either way, it's extremely frustrating.

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

Yeah, I have seen a bit of Imran. He wasn't close to MoYo
  3. smash84

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

Yeah, no. Imran wasn't really as good as any of the main top order batsmen. He wasn't even close to MoYo for batting. That's an outrageous suggestion. He was a more solid version of Ravindra Jadeja batting wise. Which means he was no mug with the bat but also doesn't make him comparable to...

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

It's the strawman that he keeps bringing up for some reason, and one that nobody is arguing for. It keeps coming back to the same point that you mentioned earlier. Many posters here don't believe that the gaps in quality among the top 10 bowlers are too large. Most think they are in the same...

Choose one combo : Botham & Hadlee vs Kapil & Imran

Might be overplayed in isolation but when you combine it with his awful record against the best side of that time it starts to reflect quite poorly. Imran, Kapil, and Hadlee all raised their game against the WI.

Choose one combo : Botham & Hadlee vs Kapil & Imran

Mostly against packer deprived teams wasn't it? Although some notable performances against good teams too. And his record against the best side of his time is atrocious. The more i scrutinize Botham's record the worst out of the 4 he seems to be.

I still don't know what hit me.

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

Seems like he's gone crazy if he's going back 12 years to pick out what I had said. OTOH one doesn't need to go too far back to witness his craziness. It's on display every week.

You're expecting straight answers from someone whose main discussion technique is avoiding answering the question and repeating strawman arguments as nauseum.

More peer reputation : Shane Warne vs Wasim Akram

Which of the top batsmen of the era rated Warne higher than Wasim? Lara had Wasim Sachin probably had none of those but of the two probably would choose Wasim.

More peer reputation : Shane Warne vs Wasim Akram

It really depends. Warne didn't really have too many great peers other than Murali. Akram had many. I think if you were to ask the great batsmen of the era as to who was the toughest bowler they faced, Akram would probably have a higher peer rating than Warne.

This one is pretty simple. Those pitches were some of the flattest ever, even by subcontinental standards and by 1989 Imran was on his way downhill. Funny enough Imran was the man of the series in that 1987 series.

    Mike Proctor vs Kapil Dev

Usually kids are born 9 months after release :naughty:

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

He did play 7 years in the 90s, which isn't considered batting friendly, and averaged higher than he did in the batting-friendly era.

I thought it was in West Indies 88? Hence proven that Imran > Warne

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

He just hasn't played enough for me to be there yet tbh. As much as I rate him, longevity matters. Body breaks down a lot more over longer periods of time generally speaking. So I will wait for my verdict regarding him.

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

Ambrose I won't consider to be better than Imran let alone having a big gap ahead of him. Although others might have him ahead. Bumrah can be the greatest Asian Bowler ever and possibly best ever fast bowler but he doesn't have enough body of work for that yet. I haven't looked at Hadlee and...

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

So not only do you falsify your own AT XIs to get back at posters you deliberately misrepresent others' arguments too. Gotcha.

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

Who are the top 5 guys who have great performances across many nations that are significantly better than Imran? 2 would be Marshall and McGrath? Then Hadlee? Who are the other ones? Ambrose,? Steyn? Why do you think the gap is big?
  20. smash84

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

Imran has match winning performances across countries. Still has more 5fers and 10fers than many bowlers in that list. Unless you're doing analysis by check list they list doesn't really show him to be as bad as you're probably thinking. Unless you think like a certain poster on here who...
