Or perhaps Dennis Commiti (spelling?). "That ball was centimetre perfect..."

    Steve Waugh's Fault

Given the youth in South African team Steve Waugh would be ancient history for most. Don't think you can blame him. I'm glad the South Africans have put the "choker" tag to rest. It's taken a while since that semifinal, but I think we are over it now.

Voges 20/20 catch vs Duminy 20/20 catch

Voges catch was a huge turning point in the T20 on Sunday. McCullum was looking ready to fire. JP Duminy's T20 catch was superb though it did not affect the outcome of the match to any great extent. Which was better?

    Benaud Quits

Benaud what a champ. He actually went to the same school as me. They have some memorobilia from when he was a boy. A desk with the inscription "Benaud was here, 22BC". Apparently it's inaccurate, carbon dating showed the inscription was made around 32BC. Also, James Brayshaw needs to stick the...

Are medium-pacers useful in modern test cricket?

Tendulkar was quite handy with the ball. He used to get a bit of swing and I am sure he was under 120kph?

    ***Official India in New Zealand***

Do you think the Indians will have any problems with Vettori? The last match he bowled against India was back in 2005 in Harare. Took 2-35 and two big wickets at that, Dravid for 0 and Sehwag for 75. He is deservingly the number one ranked bowler in the world.

    ***Official India in New Zealand***

I still laugh when I think of Zondeki and Ntini covering themselves up at the MCG (i think?) during that T20 match. Couldn't handle the cold. Just came back from India (my first trip) and didn't expect it to be as cold as it was, espcially in the North (Delhi, Agra and even Mumbai)

Are medium-pacers useful in modern test cricket?

Ah right, didn't read the title correctly. I can't really think of any effective medium pacers in Test cricket. It's either spin or pace. I guess it's also a question of what you define as useful. If we accept that it is fast bowlers and spinners that take the wickets then medium pacers can...

    The Cult Of Grant Elliott

I reckon he's just a good businessman. He had just opened up a cricket gear company specialising in bats prior to the Aus series. I wonder how much stuff he sold after a few solid performances early in the CH series? Website at: buzzbats.co.nz - Buzz Bats > Home

Are medium-pacers useful in modern test cricket?

What about Hopes? Would you consider him a medium pacer? He was pretty successful against New Zealand but he did struggle against the South Africans. Grant Elliot is another possible medium-pacer that impressed against Australia. He took a few wickets but it was his ability to keep it tight...

    *Official* England in West Indies

Only Two Outcomes There are only two outcomes in this match, the draw or the England win. At the end of day 2, England are favourites at $1.72 but they will have to play very well to avoid the draw. The draw is paying $2.10 which is exceptional value. That said, the last match was also...

    ***Official*** Australia in South Africa

Don't get your hopes up. I don't think that will happen for some time. If it happens in the next decade I'll eat my head.

    ***Official India in New Zealand***

Iain O'Blog Speaking of blogs, how good is Iain O'Brien's blog on Cricinfo? Sometime I wonder if he's a better writer than he is a bowler. This should be a cracking series. I think India will dominate. The bookies seems to agree. India are at $1.55 to win the ODI series, the black caps are at...
