CW chooses the second greatest batsman ever redux, 100 men from 5 eras whittled to 1

Think it's too early in their careers to include some of the players on the shortlist tbh. In 5 years Kohli and Root could well have surpassed a lot of guys. Hashim Amla Alastair Cook AB De Villiers Kane Williamson Steve Smith

*Official* Second Test at Trent Bridge

India in some desperate need of some luck here, looking a bit innocuous for me, seem to be reliant on England making a mistake.

I'm amazed dhoni didn't start with sharma, looked by far the most threatening last night

    Stuart Broad

atm he's a bowler who can bat, and though he has potential with the bat I think it would be a mistake to play him as an allrounder, certainly away from home. They should play him like the saffers did Polly.

Who is the greatest Indian batsman of all time?

unless he doesn't count as an Indian player surely Ranji is worth a mention? Few if any players have changed the game as much as he did, before him there basically wasn't any leg side play. Merchant and Hazare surely in with honourable mentions. Still, I guess its impossible to argue against...

*Official* Second Test at Trent Bridge

incredible days play, absolutely furious with some of the Indian batsmen, Dravid showed why he's an all time great, Broad was fantastic with the second new ball and had earned that bit of luck. Would put England a bit ahead at this point, though they still have to put runs on the board, early...

I suspect as this test progresses Dravid's knock is going to look increasingly epic.

*Official* Second Test at Trent Bridge

lost our last 6 for 21, 15 of which came from the last pair, pathetic. Need England 3 down by the time they wipe the deficit, don't fancy us chasing down anything over 150.

Am still in shock, top effort from broad but can't help but feel we may have gifted England this game. India need to bowl out of their skins here.
