    Why....

Not suggesting there was a controversy, just curious.

    Mystery Draft V.2 (1989-2009)

Sangakarra is such a gun. That looks like a cracking series between Die Neun Neun Neuners and the Maniacs. Donald maybe just needed another seamer to share the load a little - strange decision by the 999s captain to elect to bowl first in the second test, with Warne AND Kumble in the...

    Why....

I was thinking "a shared account on battrick gets you banned from CW???" Suspect the offending posts have been deleted...

    Why....

Jakester got himself banned I see. Not that surprised, but what did he actually do?

    Vote: Mystery Draft ODI Team

For my team, I've probably swap Dravid and Malik's spots in the batting order dependent on the circumstances. The team bats deep, with streak averaging 28 odd at a strike rate in the mid-70s coming in at number 8. In McGrath and Saqlain I have two of the all time great ODI bowlers, and in...

    Vote: Mystery Draft ODI Team

This one is a real toss up - do you privilege Bagapath's top order over Jamee's uniformly strong team, or any of the other really strong teams here. In the end, I've opted for Michaelf77777777s team for its balance of Hayden, Lara and Sehwag, together with Waqar, Pollock, Cairns, Harby, etc.

    Vote: Mystery Draft Test Team

Reckon McGrath, Pollock and Akhtar would give them some pause tbh. [/shameless lobbying]

    Vote: Mystery Draft Test Team

Jamee's if the matches were played on pitches that took spin. On tracks without assistance for the spinners, I think Donald would be manful but lacking support. Probably go Bagapath's just as Steyn and Johnson would be lethal in helpful conditions, Mendis would be a handful, and a batting...

    Mystery Draft V.2 (1989-2009)

We launched straight into the sim, I had wanted to say a short bit about how I felt my team turned out. My strategy this time was not to focus so heavily on securing the best players from the weakest teams, but rather to try to get the best bowlers available, and once my attack was sorted, get...

    A.F.L Thread

Would have already happened - guys like Ablett and Chapman have already turned down bigger money elsewhere to keep the core of the team togehter. Age and injury will do more to break things up. They'll lose very good players who are important, like King in 07 and Prismall last year, due to cap...

    Mystery Draft V.2 (1989-2009)

That last series against me was a microcosm of Lara's entire career in some ways.

    Mystery Draft V.2 (1989-2009)

Shakib, Younis and Inzi have all been immense so far, and Pollock really came to the party in that last match as well. Samaraweera's big ton in that last match, when no-one in the first two innings went past 50, and Lara was the next best score with 70-odd must be a candidate for knock of the...

Well done Cats. Saints will regret all those missed shots in the first half for a long time.

    Mystery Draft V.2 (1989-2009)

Considered Kambli, but with my last two picks, I'd got myself in the invidious position of needing an Indian or Kiwi opener who wasn't one of Sehwag, Gambhir or Richardson. Kambli was considered, but given he was a but of a bunny against the quicks, not the best candidate as makeshift opener.

I'll take the Gabba please. Reckon 7-5-5 would be about right.

    Mystery Draft V.2 (1989-2009)

I'll go now as I'm heading out to a looooooooooooong lunch in a minute, and won't be in any state to post sensibly til tomorrow night :D Last selection for Tests: MS Dhoni (Ind) Last selection for ODIs: AC Cummins (WI) (he made a brief comeback as a 40yo for Canada but the vast majority of his...
