What's wrong with it? There could easily have been 2 or 3 wickets! It's just good batting and good bowling!

This is very enjoyable Test Cricket! Not really balanced though, imho. I'd rather be Australia than India atm.

The whole Kohli-Smith-yada-yada overshadows Maxwell's innings, not? I realise it's early days, but Maxwell >> MMarsh, imho.

Should reviews be taken out of the players' hands?

It's not like matches are heavily delayed by run out reviews, are they?

Artificial led lights for outdoor cricket nets

As the start of the season is only 6 weeks ahead, my team can't wait to get into the nets. The problem is the sun sets too early....... Does anyone here have any experience with an easy led light solution? Preferably (car) battery operated? Or am I just a dreamer?

What is even more odd, imho: you do not need any margin at all for impact. Unlike hitting the stumps or not, point of impact is not the result of complicated math including differential equations. It's a straight forward observaton.

Yup, I agree. Yet, as it is today, the settings of DRS are such that if any part if the ball is inside, the system will say "umpire's call". In that sense, the decision was right, as there probably was a millimeter inside. It's just that the settings are wrong. My guess is that it will be...

That must be it. The tiniest bit of a millimeter inside the line, hence umpires call. Warner seriously unlucky, but in pre-DRS times this would not have been seen as a howler.

FWIW, most betting sites have India as favourites now.

Lead is nearly 50 now, with 6 wickets in hand. My standard, yet arbitrary, way of sterminating a par score is a schedule thta looks like: 1/50, 2/100, 3/150, 4/200, 5/250, 6/300, 7/340, 8/370, 9/390, 400 ao. Anyone is free to think of it whatever he likes, but it helps me to convince myself...

Apart from the inside edge, it also looked to be a yard outside off.....

Just checked his profile, He's a pommy bastard! Even worse, he's from Yorkshire.

Not sure this is always 100% true. I've seen wicket keepers missing a stumping chance while appealing for a very close catch. It's a simple example of not paying attention too much, actually paying off.

Thta one run in the 56th over, was Renshaw's first since the 46th over!

Have to agree, though I think the balance has been shifted a bit too much. But nevertheless, very good to watch this!
