    I'd like nothing more than Sree getting selected, having a killer tour and settling into the team alongside Zaheer and Ishant, but think Praveen and Munaf are also good shouts for England. Wouldn't mind any of them getting a go. Speaking of which, I know Munaf is a very different bowler now...

    Yeah but climate, physique, diet etc. are similar in Pakistan and large parts of India, but the difference in quick bowling resources is very large. Even just taking Punjab, lets see, Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib, Zahid etc. vs VRV Singh, Gagandeep Singh and Manpreet Gony.

    That makes sense but don't quicks in Pakistan face the same? Yet they mass produce 90mph bowlers. The major influence is probably the system.

    He only got that bad in ODIs around '06 when he lost his swing and about 10kph, and was quickly dropped. Like vcs said he was not slow when he debuted (135-145) and for a few years after, and during that time he bowled reasonably in both tests and ODIs (Pak and Aus home and away). Lost his test...

    Good 5 overs to finish, India could have easily ended up around 130. Slow pitch and Bishoo was getting lots of spin so 160 should be tough to chase. Darren Sammy, for a bloke who's bowling is considered useless by everyone, sure has been among the wickets often.
