    McGrath vs Jack Hobbs

McG was a stick-legged God among insects; a greater technical and mental examination of batsmen has never been administered. Really don't like how his standing which was undisputed for so long is now being questioned: dominant batsmen, hundred people in the cordon, chain-smoking leggie at the...

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

So we've started playing only 4 real bowlers now. Been a while.

Is it a good idea feeding any top-order rookie to Bumrah in this form against the pink ball no less? I get the argument against Marnus but at least he's faced him before and hopefully knows what has to be done even though he's been unable to implement it so far.. I'd bet on him scratching out an...

    Ravichandran Ashwin vs Bill O’Reilly

Ash needed this whole series, bro. Was his last-chance saloon to put away the doubters but now they're just gonna point and mock some more :sadangel:

We've made 400+ twice in the last four 2nd innings though 😎

Rank them as odi batsmen : Viv. Sachin. Kohli

Tend to agree with this. You have to give Richards credit for being so far ahead of the curve but it also was his nature; not like he introduced a drastically different facet of his game when playing ODIs. He was an outlier in his time, the field was all of one man. Which again is great...

The choice should really be between Jadeja and Ashwin. Not much of a debate either IMO. With the seamers in decent form, the concern still is shoring up the batting. Jadeja and Sundar should be the obvious picks in that scenario.

    Ripped off bowling actions

Henry Olonga seemed like he was doing a Donald. At least he had the pace bit down albeit erratically. I think Umar Gul was a McG fan and did the leap-in like his hero. Seem to recall reading somewhere that Walsh's action was a tribute to Holding. I can sort of see it especially in the swaying...

    Ripped off bowling actions

Ajmal too. And Mohammad Hafeez. Bit of a cottage industry in Pak cricket that.

    McGrath. Marshall. Hadlee.

Wasn't McG notorious at gobbling up top orders in no time? Not sure what the stats say but teams seemed to be in dire straits often enough by the time his opening spells were done.

The troll with the **** grammar is such a desi stereotype. I think only @Sunil1z so far has successfully crossed over to the mainstream.

    Official Jasprit Bumrah fanboying thread

Anything's better than that stilted, "episodic" style of article writing that Kimber started and all desi writers seem obliged to copy.

    *Official* Pro-Wrestling Thread II

WWE keeps serving up compelling storylines. The eventual fights themselves are 50-50 but damn if this isn't good soap opera.

The Ashes is the longest-running abandonment complex in cricket though. Big-time daddy issues.

India will not travel to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy

One time I fully support the BCCI waving its stubby, gold-gilded penis in everyone's face. Be the hairy fat man in the speedo, make a splash..

No curator's going to stake his cred on these two garbage/unpredictable batting lineups.

We should stop looking gift horses in the mouth and be glad Siraj, Rana, and Reddy acquitted themselves as well as they did. From Australia's pov, their batting's mostly in shambles while Starc seemed to have reverted to type in the second innings, Cummins has been off the boil for a while...
