    Jasprit Bumrah vs Sydney Barnes

Technicalities indeed. Ryan Harris once made it swing and seam two ways over 22 yards too, doesn't mean he knew what he was doing. To make an article of faith out of something improbable that's been passed down as lore over a hundred years is naive.

**Official** 4th Test at Melbourne, 26-30 Dec 2024

Between that and the selection quandaries, the cricket hasn't stood a chance

    Jasprit Bumrah vs Andy Roberts

This is turning out to be a watershed series for Jasprit. He's conclusively leapfrogging a ton of greats. Next two Tests are crucial from his personal standing pov: (a) he has to play both, and (b) he has to perform at the level he's established so far

**Official** 4th Test at Melbourne, 26-30 Dec 2024

He made a 30-odd, didn't he? He never looked out of sorts as far as I could tell. A breakthrough score might've been around the corner but you'll never know now. Aus have very much had the wood on Ind the last two Tests, so they could've afforded to give him another Test at least.

Learnt nothing from KL's pneumatically sealed defense so far either.

**Official** 4th Test at Melbourne, 26-30 Dec 2024

Aus deserve to lose this series for what they've done to young McSweeney. Just might trump how we use and dispose of Kuldeep routinely.

You have better chance surviving Bumrah atm by just asking him nicely instead of #intent. Nice enough guy to take it easy on you too.

    Jasprit Bumrah vs Waqar Younis

Not the pre-92 Curtly. He was rapid in his earlier years when the action was rawer and not yet settled into its infinitely repeatable groove. You ally that to his height and he must've been positively terrifying.

    Jasprit Bumrah vs Waqar Younis

Only with a newish ball and definitely not as late as Steyn. Easily telegraphed and dealt with by most competent batsmen of the time

    Virat Kohli vs Kane Williamson

KW. Kohli's credit done expired and loan sharks are now after his ass

    Jasprit Bumrah vs Waqar Younis

Waqar was something of a one-trick pony. Admittedly was a great and ***y trick. But Bumrah has now almost reached the stage at which Waqar's career took the most dramatic downturn imaginable from a once nailed-on ATG. Might happen to Bumrah too, but in their respective meteoric early careers, I...

Ravichandran Ashwin retires from international cricket

I doubt there's been a greater cricketer in India. He just might exceed Sachin and Kapil even. 383 wickets and 4 hundreds/8 fifties in matchwinning causes almost every time are ridiculous returns.

    **Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

Bumrah's averaging 17 in Aus after 10 Tests and 53 wickets. Best bowler alongside Sir Richard to have visited the country?

    **Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

Why not just treat it as a holiday, carry drinks, and retire after the series? I don't know...wouldn't you want to be part of the challenge, such as it is, still being mounted?
  16. A

Will Ravichandran Ashwin take 700 test wickets?

I think he'll call it a day on 537 scalps. The more pertinent question now is, will Kuldeep get to 250?

Ravichandran Ashwin retires from international cricket

He's been reading your posts and started doubting himself. Job done.

    **Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

Must suck balls to be treated that way after such a successful career

Ravichandran Ashwin retires from international cricket

Great bowler, pivotal to India's rise over the last decade. Not the ideal time considering the two venues coming up, but he seems to have enjoyed a good working relationship with his peers so doubt there's disgruntlement there. Probably couldn't stand Gambhir and who can blame him for that?
