I think the speed gun would have a better idea. He was regularly around 135kph, which seems bang on IMO. How the f*ck is Kitchen in the squad, when a guy 10 years younger with twice the potential in Chapman not there? Has form too, Kitchen hasn't done much this season at all? I just don't get...

Mistakes in selection on this tour by England

Watching this series sparingly, but England seem to pick the same 4 types of bowlers time after time. 130km right armers on flat decks with no swing, along with an off spin who can't turn it, no wonder Mitch Marsh scored 180. Aussie on the other hand have a very nice mix of bowlers, although...

Yeah Broom confirming he is a wasted selection. At his age and based on past performance, he's clearly another pet for the selection panel sadly. Nicholl's should have been moved up if he's so good to hold selection with no challengers. Batting low down Hess and co will just fart out the line...

Sullivan looks like Starc. NZ opening with a spinner is cringe. Not many decent seamers coming up?

Bat as high as 6??! That ODI average of 10 is pretty compelling obviously.. Getting really over Hesson's sh*t with trying to manufacture all rounders. The dude is a number 9. So is Astle. If Nicholl's bats at 6, I'm going to lose it. And by the looks of it, he will. Starting to miss Anderson...

Southee gets anything he wants reviewed, most the times they are shockers. KW needs to put him in his place.. The thing is Kane is just as bad at reviews.

3 days to go, 160 lead, weather looking settled.. What would you guys do? Ideally for me, declare before lunch tomorrow with a lead of 400 - 450? Plenty of time to rack up a total and bowl them out.

What are people complaining about? Wagner is only going @ 10's.. With a relatively new ball..

Commentators are terrible, Rutherford has such a bad classic "Nu Zulund" accent, makes me cringe.. Love Boult, plays BYC style. Anything under 350 is under par here, so good on the Windies for dragging us back here.

No. Not much movement at all, bowlers are using the crease to try create angles more than anything.

No Bishoo, I don't get it. I understand bringing in an all rounder to replace Holder, but why do you need 4 seamers, when 3 are pretty much the same? I would have dropped Cummins. If they are worried about Reifers bowling, then he shouldn't be playing.

Anyone else think Cricinfo's website is to clever for it's own good, and is rubbish to use?

Barnes ball to Taylor looks like a brute! How is this guy bowling 2nd change in that line up.. Worker deserves one day selection, his test call up was surprising, but considering his runs scored in the past few seasons it's understandable why. Handy 6th bowler too.

Is Nicholls going to move his feet today?

Probably why he struggles to get a game. A lot was said over Henry having a half decent game against SA earlier this year.. He's averaging almost 50 in Tests currently. I think the selection was based on him being in the squad for so long without playing TBH, they feel he deserves a chance. I...

Agreed, wish they just chucked him in at Canterbury and give him until the new year to get some good consistent cricket under his belt. Becoming the Mid 2000's era Jeetan Patel Super sub.

Shouldn't be enough considering form. Picking a bowler over another to try and bank an extra 10-20 potential runs a innings is bad selection IMO. Wouldn't be too surprised though.. Poor old Henry, he must be frustrated!

Rutherfords looked to be a wrongun missing off stump when you stop the video on impact too me. The danger of batting outside off. Nicol was a desperate buy by Otago, hopefully he can get some runs for them.

Yeah I can't really see what NZ crickets plan for the keeper role is. Watling is our test man, should have another couple years in him. Latham is our current short format keeper, but I think the gloves are up for grabs there. Tim Seifert is doing a solid domestic apprenticeship IMO, should get...

Good to see Fergo in the squad, also see Southee is waiting for his first born, and could possibly be ruled out. I sort of hope he does..
