Classic CDG. Doesn't have the game awareness to do anything other than slog.

I'd be happy with that, as long as we see Williamson and Munro have a bowl. CDG doing 10 overs, no thanks.

Terrible performance from NZ, however they wont change the batting line up, they have committed to Munnerz opening for the WC. I guess everyone bar KW was poor, so they can all feel equally useless and be keen to perform next time round. Poor reading of the pitch, decision was based on past...

Can't play Southee on a road with short boundaries surely. In saying that, that rules out 80% of NZ grounds.. Pumped for this series, worried about our bowling attack though. Without Bumrah however, I'd back us to win the series.

I agree on Nicholls not being a 6. Latham and Nicholls are very similar, they shouldn't be relied on to get the run rate going which I think is crucial as a No 6. Dreaming I know, but I'm still holding a touch of hope for; 1 Guptill 2 Munro 3 KW 4 RT 5 Latham 6 Neesham 7 Anderson 8 Santner 9...

If Anderson is getting through overs and builds some game time, I'd take him over CDG no question.

And keeps talking about inswing for Santner, when we already know the bloke can bowl a karam ball, and the balls clearly moving away from the left hander after pitching. Don't think Cantab wil have the fire power for this total, even though they are going OK ATM.

Don't mind that side, but I think Sodhi is easily a top 5 white ball bowler in the country, and should playing alongside Santner. With flat pitches every where and Sodhi (and leg spinners in general) going really well ATM, I think it's be silly to not play him. Play your best bowlers IMO, which...

Tim Roxborough, not a cricketer by trade, trying to discuss technique, bowling tactics, Bracewell NZ Selection etc, all Hockley and Harris do is ignore him and explain what we are all watching on TV. FFS I'm sick of these commentators, plain rubbish.. Almost as rubbish as Canterbury's batting...

I think his diminishing pace (like Southee) and one dimension short ball game could make him cannon fodder over there. "Extra pace" in their pitches these days is a bit of a myth, unless you're talking about the way they crank their speed guns up. But he deserves his chance for a crack with...

What changes should we make for the dead rubber? I'd like to see Doug Bracewell and Ferguson get more game time. Southee and Boult to be dropped/rested for me, we know Boult will be in the top squad and looks a little tired, give him a good break IMO. Southee got the pound big time, would prefer...

Guptill, Young, Williamson, Taylor, Munro, Latham, Neesham, Santner, Southee/Henry/Jamieson, Ferguson, Boult. **** I don't know, it's hard to balance that middle order without having a makeshift opener. Latham/Nicholls/Williamson could all open. I think Larsen and Stead will be conservative...

Looked like that yorker swung a bit, is Hazlewood running on a treadmill? He looks screwed already.

I saw one of Neesham's clocked at 143, fastest I've ever seen from him ever. Great signs. Henry was 132-136, slowest I've seen him bowl. No one swung it yesterday, and bowling at that pace he just got pounded. Shame, he's been mis managed really. Should have played FC and one day cricket for...

Ronchi has joined the coaching staff for the tour - Perhaps for this reason. Gotta hand it to the Lankans, we'd be in major trouble if it wasn't for Neesham. Thankfully someone has put their hand up to compete with CDG. These dead pitches though.. Far out. Henry is down on pace, 135km or there...

Shame for Nicholls to get run out like that, I just can't see the dude ever be a good closer in this situation. Reminds me of when NZ had Broom down at 6 for a few series when he first made the ODI team.. He's an accumulator, not a ball striker. Switching him and Munnerz would have a better...

I think Munnerz should be moved back down to 5, surely the opening role "project" has failed. Openers to fill the hole could be the keeper (Latham/Siefert), Young, Williamson or even Neesham. I guess that's the hard thing, there is no clear option.

Debbie Hockley.. How bad. Wonder if McConchie can get some runs today, his record is horrible. Wait for our main man Jamieson to come out and put a few over the fence.

I was thinking yesterday that we have the worst TV coverage of our domestic T20 competition in the world? It blows my mind that Sky and NZC don't cover more games, or even get mainstream media on board more to cover/promote the games. As someone mentioned earlier, Sky cover obscure 3rd div...

Na was suggesting Fergo in for Patel in this match. I don't think CDG is a test no 7, and bloody hope someone puts their hand up to take his spot shortly.
