    Lloyd/Marshall vs Ponting/McGrath

Prime Ponting would have been magnificent to watch against the Windians. No hook let through.

*Official* India tour of England 2025 General Discussion

For all the fear-mongering over Bumrah's frail body, you'd think he's this gen's Shane Bond, but he keeps rebounding without any loss in skills. With sensible management like what Gambhir's saying for a change and unlike how Rohit tried to ground him into fertilizer, I can see him getting to 325...

*Official* India tour of England 2025 General Discussion

Going to be a bloodbath. We'll be chasing leather once Bumrah is negotiated, even if he makes early inroads. Then our newbie bats will edge everything to slip.

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

They should let bowlers do a line every time a partnership crosses 100.

Let trophies be. New gen names don't carry the same oomph. The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, whoopdee****ingdoo, such nostalgia.

More peer reputation : Shane Warne vs Wasim Akram

Indians hardly rated Warne. Wasim was universally feared and admired.

    Who will win these battles

On the surface, maybe. Viv's got the body language and was obviously a greater hit with the ladies, but peel back past that stuff and I don't think they're very different at all in terms of being the absolute generals on the field for their teams. They'd be fantastic teammates actually.

    Who will win these battles

Root's performance versus Bumrah is not a one-to-one reference for how Viv might fare against him. Root's particularly well-suited to handle Bumrah, i.e. when he's not doing stupid ****, because of how late he plays in front of the wicket and off his pads especially. The crossbat shots that...

*Official* Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025

Might go down to the wire tbh. It's a decent score for an IPL final.

Could've been 225 at least minus Kohli dicking around. Could still get there the way these two are going. Criminal how VK plays with this kind of firepower down the order.

That is some scoop by Jitesh. Takes it off his face, guides it over the shoulder and the keeper for six? Mental.

He's still at it haha, was at some Mexican promotion recently and told the crowd they are the reason why we had to build a wall.

*Official* Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025

Maybe but those golden overs are gone, right? It's my pet peeve against conservative batting in T20s unless the conditions are torrid like the last T20WC. It's a format of gradients and increments and you can never truly compensate for the slowpoke overs. It's the KL Rahul school of batting; end...

Kohli doing his usual holding up one end schteeek. His role in his own mind seems to change every other game.

I guess they really didn't spare any grouping lol. Whites got it too: nutty Aussies (Bushwhackers), hillbillies (Godwinns), greedy evil millionaire (DiBiase), etc. WWE's characters are basically a magnifying glass on Vince McMahon's worldview which looks like it stopped evolving rather early on...

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

Yeah, higher SRs in old-er times make sense because batsmen were simply more adept at leaving more and played way more cautiously in general. Even Steyn would've been high 40s at the very least if he'd played pre-90s.
