How to win the Ashes - in recipe format

Recipe for getting put on the ignore list Get one absolute tool, new to forum. constantly start new threads rather than contribute in the existing ones. Keep whinging about umpires or the such, rather than saying anything positive. Only thing missing is personal insults (I'm sure they're...

    **Official** Tour Matches

I would play all 5 squad members not in the test team and rest those most in need. Ins: Lee, Clark, Macca, Watto, Manuar out: House, Siddle, Hauritz, Haddin, Clarke Might possibly consider playing haddin, as he obviously needs to work on his keeping. In this case would look to rest Katich.

Akhtar-Supreme Fast hotshot or Too much talk??

I remember he was talking to a reporter on the side of the road while on tour in Australia. Jumped away and pulled a child off the road in front of a car. Can't be too much of a ****. Bowling like he did breeds inconsistency and injury. I think these factors have led to the Shoib hate as much...

    Current pecking order?

Maybe, but he definetly shouldn't be carrying the drinks in the 50 over games

    Current pecking order?

As good as Nannes is, I can't see any benefit having an uncapped 34 year old as a fringe player. Way better off having the fringe player as an up and commer like Laughlin or McKay.

    *Official Third Test at Edgbaston

From what I've seen in the first two tests, these teams are remarkably close in ability. I've done a little comparrison (which is personal views of course and open to scrutiny). I've chosen to compare players who are similar, as much as possible, rather than batting order positions, etc...

    *Official* Second Test at Lords

At what time of todays play, providing Australia haven't lost a wicket, will the england supporters start praying for rain? I'll say 90 mins

The last Ashes without referrals – a running tally of umpiring errors

:-O sorry but I can't take that comment seriously at all. Dire stuff

    A.F.L Thread

Not sure about that. I can understand if your using the two games against the other filth as a reason, but Essendon have a game very well suited to Carlton. Collywobbles on the other hand don't have the same gameplay advantage. The two best sides we've played this year (so naturally big...

    *Official Third Test at Edgbaston

At the present time Johnson can not be relied upon to do his bowling job. It is a harsh call and I assume that he would come back soon and be better than before, but for the immediate time we can not carry his poor form. I'd have to be pretty convinced that Watson's bowling form is better...

    Dual Internationals...

I believe Dirk Nannes may have represented Australia at skiing. Although I'm not too sure cause in Aus, skiing has a similar profile to tiddlywinks.

    *Official* Second Test at Lords

Last night the competition late at night was good though. Australia's unexpected fightback in the cricket, the best finish to a stage yet at the TDF and a close though low key finish to the British Open. And an occasional check on the MotoGP. Only one thing tonight though :)

Interesting core ingredient that. Chris to panfry the soft baby cheek-meat garnished with pinky toes Julie to prepare a hearty meal of slow roasted toddler on the bone Poh to prepare an eloquantly presented traditional Malay preteen stirfry :tabletalk

    *Official* Second Test at Lords

I think we'll fall short but am enough of a realist to know it is still possible and my optimism points to a thrilling win. I see alot of parralells with that Langer/Gilchrist game against Pakistan. Personel antidote: I thought it near impossible to win. I was driving to Sydney and...

The last Ashes without referrals – a running tally of umpiring errors

This is a really good point, as good a time as any to get this outa the system.........although after the 6th wicket partnership, it might very be that we end up 80 runs short and this could have been the difference. But this is but optimistic speak (for our English cousins, please consult...

Hauritz and Strauss catches, Lord's Test

was a very poor decision not to go to 3rd umpire and probably made because the 3rd umpire got the one wrong the day before. I would say IMO that Straus 95% probability DID NOT catch the ball (maybe he should have to answer to this) It would say that Hauritz 75% probability DID catch his. I...
