    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

Have only half followed this test so far and was extremely surprised when I put the cricket on the radio on the way in to work this morning. Anyone got any thoughts on what total England will want to declare on?

Yeah but I feel like there must have been a better option for throwing it away. To somewhere he can actually see would be a good start. Its the equivalent of passing across your own net in Football (soccer).

This was so bizarre. Throwing the ball away without looking not a smart move.

Xavier McKinney with a pick in every game of the season so far looking like amazing business for the Packers so far. Reminds me somewhat of the in season Rasool Douglas trade a few seasons ago in terms of impact.

This seems to be a familiar story when it comes to the Niners

Good to see the Packers winning with Willis at the helm. Thought he performed pretty well overall in the circumstances. The defence stepped up, though still weak against the run.

No current player has more test centuries than Joe Root.

Norris getting fastest lap at the end there was pretty impressive

That batting average is inflated by those two big not outs tbf. I think over a larger sample size that would drop down to the mid thirties, which is still respectable.

Frequent ball change made by England Team

Yeah this is definitely not new to Stokes' captaincy

Frequent ball change made by England Team

It feels like they should at least have balls available from the same decade as the ball being replaced. i.e if the ball is 64 overs old then replace it with a 60 over old ball.

***Official*** England vs Sri Lanka 21st August-10th September 2024

Getting to a lead of 200 is impressive considering how the innings started. Good to see a bit of fight from Sri Lanka considering the lack of preparation for this series in terms of warm up games, and actual tests played in the last few years.

Is Stokes expected to return for the second test then? Last I'd seen he was out for the summer.

I assume the more decisive action is because the Police aren't involved? Though he could have been under investigation for sometime I suppose.

    Graham Thorpe dies aged 55

It's also really hard on the emergency services who come to the scene. I've got family who were paramedics and they always said that people who were hit by trains were the worst scenes to go to.

I can't think of many sports where you spend so much time away from home.
