    Formula One discussion thread...

Briliant performance by Alonso holding of schumacher for a 12 great defence and so cool under pressure from such a yound driver. ITV absolute disgrace though took an advert break with 12 laps to go and then another one with 3 laps to go!

Udal has been an excellent bowler for hampshire for years but he is obviously no warne who tok 4 wickets incase you didnt notice and previously under warne he has actualy bowled quite a lot. Warne has been an excellent captain for hampshire

    Highlights of Sussex v Hants

He is very promising and has started the year very well he has sufferd from injuries in the past couple of years hopefully he has got over that now. Hampshire really showing they can now compete in division 1 i think it will be a good season

This argument really is getting bogged down in stats and you can never really tell anyway the fact is that a few teams in all the countrys seem to be quite far ahead of everybody else and as i have already said this will result in a superleague i should think

    World wicket keepers, your rankings.

I would probably agree with that although maybe boucher should be higher he has been good for a long time. I havnt really seen anything of the others so i couldnt really comment on them

What were those graphs showing exactly? I would rather not compare the premiership to other leagues but it is undenaible that the top 3 are so far ahead and really no one apart from maybe liverpool will be able to get close to them in the forseeable future. This is bad for the game and will...

The quality outside the top 3 really isnt that good. There are some very mediocre teams doing well look at Everton and Bolton all credit to them they have great managers but really they are not greaat sides

As has already been said the top 3 are just so far ahead and this gap is just going to grow and grow

Terrible result for newcastle today but i cant say it wasnt expected but i am now not sure what will happen in the future. They need to buy a few good players in the summer and ged rid of Robert and bowyer. They have some good young player n zogbia was quite good when he came on and taylor and...

seems the rose bowl pitch is the same as ever warne to skitlle out the tale tomorow and take an unlikely victroy thanks to he and tremlets batting

Last batting place for the ashes?

I think Thorpre is a vital member of the team and he will have a good series he has been a quality player and is a great fighter and wouldnt it be great if graham Thorpe hit the runs that won the ahes in the his final test at the ovel.

Last batting place for the ashes?

I do feel a bit sorry for Butcher but his form hasnt been great when he has been able to play England will need to take risks against Australia so Pieterson could well be worth the gamble
