Is AB de Villiers an ATG test batsman?

I think AB has inherently more talent and skillset than Kallis but lacked the mental fortitude to push it up a level above. To do so well across wherever he played is no mean thing. AB didn't have a real weakness and it's just confounding then that why he didn't go on to average like 60+ that he...

    *Official* Australia in India 2023

Iyer has been declared fit for Delhi test. I'd say iyer has the best long term outlook. He is very young. He has not kept a wrong feet forward till now, albeit most of them at home. Will need to see how he goes overseas.

    Cricket's Great Myths

Growing up in the 90s , there was this famous story about how Kapil Dev turned.up to bat pitch drunk and then went on to slam a hundred.

Kuldeep is not a happy go lucky slogger like Shami. He showed very good batsmanship skills in Bangladesh when India were in some pickle and made a stubborn 40 odd. His defense was up there with top order batsmen to spin especially.

Can't rest premier spinner in a live series. That's Englandesque bad application of workload management policy. Yes, Jadeja can be treated as a specialist batsman and India can afford to play Kuldeep in place of KL without sacrificing much. But then 4 spinners are going to be overkill.

Is global spin bowling about to decline?

More like an aberration as the rest of his career both home and away revealed in that decade.

Is global spin bowling about to decline?

Not really. He has that one good series in NZ and a decent series in SA and thats pretty much that. Since beginning of 2006 till 2015 (that's a full decade), Harby played 53 tests, took 198 wickets @ 38. The worst thing is that he was bad at home, 111 wickets from 27 matches @ 36. For an...

    Cricket's Great Myths

Yeah, but Warne was an absolute beast after the 1993 Ashes series. He was wrecking pretty much every team that was coming his way. Kumble was not at all shabby either. But Warne wad obviously playing the more visible series and much more matches.

    Starc vs Brett Lee

Has to be Brett Lee. Especially how he aged like a fine wine with time and how he bore the burden of Aus after McGrath and Warne retired. Such a difficult time but Lee upped his game accordingly. It was incredible to see him sending down 155 kph thunderbolts at the fag end of a summer in 2008...

    Cricket's Great Myths

Yes, SA in 1999 was basically Klusener on God Mode bailing out SA again and again. The man was in some unreal form. But I think SA could have won the cup. Zim were no pushover during that time and narrowly missed out on semis (due to NRR - a crucial super six game vs NZ was rained off). So no...
