The Non-Spamming Thread on the announcement of the greatest Aussie ODI team

I wouldn't. That'd leave Australia with only four frontline bowlers - one of whom (Lee) already has a penchant for being expensive. If McGrath or Warney has a bad day, OZ goose would be cooked very well indeed. Especially when you compare and see that WI bowling is probably going to be stronger...

Waugh was an underrated bowler but anybody who gets in at #7 has to be a better bowler than Waugh and a much faster scorer in my books - thats the role of a #7. And i just can't tihnk of anybody i'd drop in the top six to accomodate Tugga.

The Non-Spamming Thread on the announcement of the greatest Aussie ODI team

Nah. I want balance to the side. Critical to ODIs i believe is having a longish tail and six bowlers who can bowl decently, to cover the possibility of a minimum 1 bowler having a bad day. Gilly to Symonds is already a formidable enough lineup batting-wise. Probably only challenged/matched by a...

Males banned from watching the women world cup qualifiers in Pakistan

More than that. Its your language. Your spelling wins. Period. You should crusade against the bastardization of English language.

mass, incorrect and gross generalization. Honor is not just about harassment- there is rape, murder, coercion, etc. all into the equation. Either way, education is a component that plays into effect as well - often you find that well educated folks are significantly more respectful of women...

No, i merely mean that the protective instinct is fairly easily to override in these cases and it should be - i agree if someone you know badmouths your family, its a low blow and it hurts, but some stranger i don't know from adam mouthing off my ma ? I couldn't give a rat's hiney....

i agree. This issue can get very complicated because of clothing etiquette ultimately entering the picture. And to be honest, i do think clothing etiquette in the west can be improved upon- maybe not in a regulated, legal sense but just the self respect that doesn't let you walk around displaying...

Yeah. Just that you gotto expect the 'Al Qaeda/Bin Laden/ terrorist/nazi' chants directed at you from some quarters if you arn't a western dude criticising the west.

I always wonder why people get so flustered when someone mention something about their womenfolk. Like as if someone says something about my mom, it suddenly becomes her :S I used to live in Arabia and there the common form of insulting people ( remember we were highschool kids) were to diss...

    Plunkett admits to drink driving

You have no idea of what i am talking about then. Its not about supporting drunk driving - which would be dumb and stupid. Its about the fact that legal limit to how much alcohol you can have in your blood to be considered drunk is not a very accurate guage and it varies a LOT between people.

    Plunkett admits to drink driving

I've put it to test. Not even 0.1 second difference on average in reaction times after 1 drink. You may be compromised after 1 drink but i know several people - myself included - who'd not feel a thing, save for the taste- after a single drink. I live in Vancouver - a very hilly town ( some...

    Plunkett admits to drink driving

No, it isnt. If you arn't a drinker and never been one, you don't belong in this convo simply because you got no idea what we'r talking about. The bottomline is not being compromised and an individual is best placed to judge that. I never said it should be adopted as a rule- my argument is...

    India Thread

Well then you know nothing about spin bowling. It is a zillion times harder to spin a new ball compared to an old one - which is why you don't see Kumble, Murali, Warney, etc. opening the bowling in front of far crappier pacers. It is also zillion times harder to loop a ball that isnt worn out...

    India Thread

Lets not get into that debate again. I do consider Bradman as the best. However, i don't consider Hobbs, Hutton,Headley, etc. to be a patch on Tendulkar, Richards, Lara etc. Lack of professionalism overall means few who approach it professionally get bloated records. I am sure they compare...

    India Thread

Sort of. Don't see how that changes the fact that Grimmett took wickets without relying on spin much at all. I am talking about the method of his operation here, not how high quality it was. No, it goes to show that when you got Gavaskar for an opening bowler, you are fooked. Turn, loop etc...
