That was fairly comprehensive. Henry was exceptional.

Others have already said this is just what Hay had to do to look 35+ and make this NZ side. We should applaud his initiative. Have others like Fisher or Mariu considered a season or two driving a tractor or selling farm insurance to impress Farmer Stead? Might be a good idea.

How the hell did Canterbury mess this up. Six wickets for nine runs.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Looks like they've just done that, but they're only fielding subs so can't bowl anyway.

Nope, no concussion sub. Canterbury should surely win with Auckland down two bowlers. Edit: thought Dixit bowled too but apparently not

Gotta hope neither has broken a bone in the arms they were holding, and have to assume Dixit concussed.

Some decent pace-off balls too. There can be a role in T20I for someone who hits a hard length and has an easy action that lets him watch the batter until the last moment and maybe roll the fingers etc. Thinking of Josh Hazelwood. Interesting how much O'Rourke got smashed though, shows what a...

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Good from Shipley, as a guy who iirc got pummeled every time he bowled in white ball cricket prior to his injury break.

    Nice bosh from Jacobs

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

O'Rourke and Jamieson opening with Shipley first change - fitness permitting could be a dream NZ boring attack. Oh yeah and Gus McKenzie too.......

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

For unaesthetic bowling actions I have J Sussex and W Clark - both step to offside with their front leg and then push the ball back the other direction towards the stumps. More straight lines pls.

Yeah he's much more in the style of Mitchell or Chapman - a top/middle order batter who will bowl less and less at international level as time goes on. I don't know if he'll deserve an NZ spot in the medium term, but if he does it has to be as a batsman.

Fantastic hundred! Also a throwback to when this happened to Henry every time he bowled at the death.

Going to be a good test for our batting lineup today. Yeah has tools but meme inswing not enough by itself for international batters. Needs to improve accuracy.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Kelly and Troy Johnson battering Fisher. Flat wicket and the extra pace is just coming off twice as hard from the middle of the bat.
