300-350? Need Lyon to bowl from both ends to get anywhere close.

Yeh, good point. Dhoni talked about this a few times -- he thinks that there's a lot less pressure at 1-down, knowing that Tendulkar-Dravid-Laxman are yet to come, than at 5-down with only the tail to follow.

ugh, hawkeye is such a turd. someone here made a suggestion about a "replays only" review system. that's a ****ing brilliant idea, wonder why it's hasn't been brought up before? if you can't see it in a replay, then it's not a howler, and you can forget about it.

I thought Aus were unlucky. IMO, they bowled much better than India (bar Zak) and if they had conditions like Indian bowlers had on Day 1, India would have struggled. Even in these conditions, 200/5 would have been possible on another day. Yadav and Ishant need to learn something from the...

Agree, also based on tattoo count. And the faux-hawk. There is no justification for leaving out someone with such aggressive, aerodynamic personal grooming.

speaking of domestic performances: dinda has an 8 wickets against baroda, with a day left to play. Definite chance for a 10fer. i hate to agree with ganguly, but he should really be put on the plane to Australia asap.

I don't think Zaheer or Ishant are 100%. Given that, I can't see India winning a test. 2-0 to Aus. Laxman, Dravid and Ponting to score heavily.

well, that's that. the giant question marks over ishant and zak persist. makes it difficult to generate any pace lugging them around.

why are ojha and ashwin bowling in tandem? I would rather them rotate between zak, ishant and yadav and get a couple of spells out of them. ffs if they're that fragile, it's better to find out before the 1st test. #lordstest

someone put ishant on the field while nobody was looking. if he has to break down, i hope he does it today and not on boxing day

he values his milestones. that's one of the reasons he has so many of them. and also one of the reasons he does something daft as he nears them.

*Official* Second Test at Trent Bridge

Are you kidding? Anyone who has followed cricket for the last 2 years gives this England side a lot of credit. England and India were the two best teams in the business -- isn't that why this is a 'marquee' series? I'm not sure why you guys feel so hard-done all the time -- you sound like...

*Official* Second Test at Trent Bridge

Almost impossibly, England are living up to all their hype. Batting with their best batsman out with injury, and playing this test without one of their best bowlers, they have still managed to make India look pedestrian at times. India are missing players of their own, but England have not...

Holy **** prior! What a cut shot, the man there couldn't have moved more than 5 yards before it was past him.

*Official* Second Test at Trent Bridge

Agree. They were absolute **** on either side of tea. That's a 100 runs gifted there, and another 50 or so during the Broad/Swann show. I don't see this Indian lineup scoring more than 200ish. As for Harbhajan, I would be sick in the stomach too if I'd been outbowled by Yuvraj.

You must be joking. This is England's game to lose.
