Sub Roman in with Seth if you want, but you don't have to be going for a title to be getting pushed by the company as "the guy.".

Also, you simply can't use the "we don't have true stars" excuse. Between Zayn, KO, Finn, Shinsuke, Samoa Joe etc, you've got guys who have shown their potential to be insanely popular - across NXT and, in the case of Finn and Shinsuke, in NJPW. That's before you look at other talents like...

It's just so obvious that Vince needs to step back. Look at the product NXT is - and it is meant to be the show for developing talent for the main roster. If Triple H can build NXT with the guys who are meant to be preparing for the main roster, it just shows how pathetic the main roster...

    Back Draft

Was considering it too before taking Spofforth tbh.

It's quite fascinating to watch stuff from a year or two back and see how people were clearly over and have since been neglected by WWE. It's not like they have a ton of super-over wrestlers that they can afford to ignore this sort of thing, either.

Shakib banned for failure to disclose approaches

    He's not banned for 3 years; it's 2 years with 1 suspended.

Haven't seen it yet but the general Twitter consensus seems to be "terrible creative, but the wrestlers are doing a good job lessening the cringe as much as could be expected."

Particularly considering that this is in the midst of a Brock push - with Cain Velasquez, too. You'd think that would be an effective way of artificially inflating the numbers to hide such a problem - but nope.

That's nuts. Although tbf that's 900,000 more than it deserved.

    South Africa team selection

QdK in T20 cricket is fine because who the hell cares about T20I cricket. Don't let him near the Test and 50 over captaincy jobs though.

These feel like really good odds to put money on SA imo. Yeah, England are favourites, but SA are very good at the sort of ugly win that may be required in a World Cup final. One feels the odds should be a little closer - perhaps 1.7 to 2.3 or so.

Why aren't there more spinner all rounders?

Yeah, and in fairness Harbhajan hardly had a traditional offie action so comparing him to Warne is probably unfair anyway. Bhajji certainly light-years ahead of Lyon/Swann etc in terms of how nice his action was to watch.

    South Africa team selection

I don't really mind Markram being made captain tbh. I know his form has been iffy, but realistically he's not getting dropped anytime soon, and my understanding is that he's been seen as a long-term candidate for quite a while. Might as well get him started young - it's not like anyone is...

    Semi Finals

I guess "well" is not the right word. But they played hard and managed to hold a determined SA for most of the match, with SA looking for a while like they'd run out of ideas.

    Semi Finals

It's a world cup semi-final that was dead even with 10 minutes to go. Not good rugby but was still a nailbiter that could have gone either way.

    Semi Finals

Yes! Credit to Wales - they came back well from a poor performance against France. England vs Boks will be a fascinating game. The edge must go to the Poms, one feels, but both teams have a very good chance.

The best pure wicketkeeper of all time

Absolutely. I think since it's so difficult to quantify statistically, it becomes much easier for romanticism to come into play. I reckon your Ian Healys of the modern era were just as good as your Bari's and Oldfields. That said, the one discerning element would be older keepers playing on...

    Semi Finals

I'm not a big follower of rugby these days, but I must say this Bok team has been one of the best I've seen in a long time. Even if they go out here I reckon it'll be more due to the Welsh playing well than us being poor. Which is incredibly un-South African of me.
