That was more like it from Smuts.

Smuts really battling for timing out there. Welcome boundary for Malan.

You're right re: batting but I just don't trust his bowling either. I love seeing him do well but there's always worry in the back of my mind.

I don't know if its actually good for SA cricket if Jon Jon does well here (as he probably shouldn't be playing for us and a good performance will potentially justify a number of future selections) but I'm really holding thumbs for him here.

Someone should remind SL that Udana is a batting all-rounder.

I never quite know how to feel about Phelukwayo. Some days it feels like he's a limited overs superstar with his canny medium pacers but other days you feel he could easily travel for 80 off his 10. Better than the consistently mediocre Pretorius and Morris for sure but I can never quite...

Massive wicket. I'm a big fan of Nortje. He makes Morkel's retirement weight just a little less on my saddened heart.

That spinner for England (the SLA - not Kerr) looks like she could hold her own if she practised with the men.

    South Africa team selection

Do you think Smuts is actually going for the 7 spot, or do you think he's a top 6/6th bowler player? I'd prefer the latter, although admittedly I don't think his batting has warranted it. Relying on Smuts as a fifth bowler and not having a sixth is suicidal imo.

*** Official *** South African Domestic Season 2019/20

Regarding the earlier Markram discussion, the problem right now is that we have noone to bowl anything from our top 6. Which essentially means we have no leeway with our number 7 - they have to bowl 10. We don't have anyone who really is bankable to do this - Lucky, Pretorius etc can all get...

    South Africa team selection

Yup agree, as a Border/Warriors fan he reminds me somewhat of Pieter Strydom in that he's a quality domestic guy and great servant but shouldn't be in the international picture.

Haven't watched Revolution but will watch the VOD hopefully on Tuesday. Looking forward to it, particularly after the utter sham that was WWE SSD.

I really think Markram should get more of a bowl for SA. If he can get through 4-5 overs in ODIs it takes a large amount of pressure off the number 7 spot in terms of bowling.

Sorry guys, been dealing with some family stuff. Not sure I'll be around tomorrow either so if I come up again tomorrow feel free to skip me. For my two outstanding picks I'll take Romesh Kaluwitharana and Damien Martyn.

Also, this may be wrong, but I'm most excited for Revolution to watch Orange Cassidy vs Pac. I really want to see how they work this one.

The Fiend jobbing to Goldberg was absolutely stupid. The reason for it is so they can make Reigns vs Goldberg - battle of the spears - and try to get Roman over by winning at Mania (probably will get booed tbh). Reports say Fiend vs Cena which isn't exactly attractive either. I was one of...
