Harmison Quote :- Harmison, 30, said he was told by England's interim coach Andy Flower, shortly before the toss, that he would not be playing. "'Andy Flower told me I was being left out because I was not bowling quick enough nor was I hostile enough for what they wanted. I was bitterly...

My worry is that when fit it seems to be Sidebottom who knocks over the openers in test cricket and not Harmison?! If Harmison cannot knock over the occasional top order batsman cheaply then he should be out! If Harmison cannot bowl in the late 80's (that's what he was picked for!) then we had...

If Amjad ain't the answer, Harmison ain't gonna do it, Flintoff is injury prone, then who in English Cricket can bowl the ball at 90+ mph? I like Jones but as with most English fast bowlers he is not going to be a long term solution as he is also injury prone!

Exactly how fast is Amjad? May go for a few runs but then again which England FAST bowler did not? He may compliment someone like Sidebottom? It must be said that we always struggle to knock over the tail, he may go at 5 an over but can he knock over the tail and take some wickets?

I agree with Swann being a big positive, glad to see him get some wickets!

As said above, with Flintoff in and out and not getting any younger we may be relying on Broad being our next major allrounder! It's now up to him to prove the point with bat and ball!

Don,t think Jimmy does enough to warrant a place TBH, tho Harmison is gonna have to start producing something, he got in originally because he was quick! why go with Swann? Get Rashid in, not getting enough runs or wickets! Swann is not going to be the future.

I would tell Flintoff to pull his finger out and start playing hard, same for Harmison! Swap Shah for Bell, Swap Rashid for Panesar. It may not work but it will at least send some signals to the team? Perform or you are out!:@
