Does anyone else think Sharma looks a lot like a Indian version of Jason Gillespie?

    Australia's 400th Cricketer

I would like to see an untried spinner go on tour, get some experience off the field and start to groom one or two young guys to replace MacGill and Hogg, they are both over 35 and are short-term options.

500 is up, pitch is absolutely lifeless. But how often does it look dead then come back to life when the other team has to bat? If Australia get through the new ball there is a lot of runs to be had on this pitch.

We had no answer to their bowling in the last match. Obviously a totally different deck, but looking forward to seeing how we go this time around.

Cricinfo says 34 more overs to go. If that's right then the over rate has been very good by Ricky Ponting.

Valueable runs from India - Australia looked like they are running out of ideas. Anyway thanks to the curator of the Adelaide Oval for a likely draw...

In Gilchrist's defence with his dropped ones he does occasionally drop the easy one. Healy was always a better keeper then Gilchrist in my opinion, but Gilchrist is a better cricketer because of his all-round game.

Kumble's gonna slaughter Sharma here, doesn't matter if how well you bowled or how many times you got Ponting, how dare you become the 12th fieldsman when your captain hits down the ground :D

I've been concerned with the catching standard for the last 5 years. It's just that it hasn't really had an impact to date (aside from maybe 2005), as Australia just created so many chances. If you’re going to lose two of the greatest bowlers of all time, you can really afford to drop 3 sitters...
