    Yeah, CW definitely seems well past its peak. I mean, there's always been trolls and morons and ranters and flame wars - this is the internet after all - but there also used to be lively, enlightening discussion, genuine wit and optimism.

    Probably not. You're right, it's one of those apocryphal things that's become fact through repetition. As others in this thread have pointed out though, how that test turned out was a mighty big surprise.

    It was a well-paced innings chasing a low target. The required rate never got out of control and we always had plenty of wickets in hand. I honestly don't know how you guys can be so upset after such a comfortable, professional victory.

    Absolutely terrible victory there for New Zealand by 6 wickets with 2 overs to spare, and a career high score from our captain and star player. God we were rubbish.

    That test against Pakistan has a big match fixing question mark over it. I say this as someone who was a massive Bryan Young fan back in the day (absolutely hated Adam Parore, who I considered a usurper).
