    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Sedate hour mostly apart from two-three spurts of boundary-hitting. Look at these bum umpires wasting time. Elite panel my ass.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

KL not having a high 40s averaging career will be one of the great WTFs of modern Test cricket. That he averaged low 30s before this series an even bigger mystery. Aside from his own failings, part of it has had to do with how he's been shunted around the batting order, but when allowed to...

    It's a fat man's game occasionally.

Nothing so drastic but a fixed time cap on on-field treatment should help things along. Unsure of continuing after 3-5 mins of physio time on the ground? Go off.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Just saw the KL drop. Went fast and at an awkward armpit height but such a bad time and form player to let off. He better make up for it with a big hundred tomorrow.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

75 overs on a day as hot and sunny as this. A few overs lost usually don't faze me but this was poor.

    Yeah missed play by Stokes

You could convince me that was Tendulkar playing the straight drive. Has the same bat sticker too.

Archer's front foot bracing is a thing of beauty. As vertical as can be, perfect distribution over his centre of gravity.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Yeah. But also, how effective is it really? Ok so you force the batsman to stay inside the crease, but you're also drastically reducing your chances of catching any decent deflection. Always seems like a low reward strategy.

Still on, just a change of ends.

Oh forgot Bashir's playing. Come on Stokes, give your boy a bowl.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Nasty isn't it? I can only think of Nortje in the current game with that kind of head-hunting steepling bounce at high pace.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Think he's had a fair run tbh. Three Tests at age 33 with one glaring shortcoming...simply isn't enough ROI persisting with him.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

    lol Hussain picks on everybody

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Root pulled off just about the hardest catch at slip you'll ever see.

    Should be bowling Archer now

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Yeah always coming. Don't think Nair can have a Test career with that weakness. Great catch though.
