Ranking the Auxiliary skills in test cricket

Looking back I should have definitely included Kallis, and possibly Greg Chappell also.

The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

It’s the one I thought about the most. When I couldn’t have Murali or Warne, or OReilly or Grimmett, it came down to Bedi or Underwood I guess. Maybe Laker? Shakib for an extra all rounder might be ok. Then I guess there’s Ashwin or Jadeja. Lyon? Aubrey Faulkner? In hindsight Tayfield might...

Ranking the Auxiliary skills in test cricket

Not sure there needs to be a definitive answer here. Looking at Aus’s strong era, there was a mix of all: Good slippers: Taylor, M.Waugh, Warne, Hayden, Ponting, Clarke Good lower order bats: Warne, Gillespie, Lee, Reiffel (plus Healy/Gilchrist) 5th bowers: Waughs, Symonds, Watson, Clarke...

    AFL- the best you’ve watched

I’ll concede I completely forgot Buckley. Roo a great player too. I’ve got Winmar for some pace as a winger or midfielder. Madden was without a doubt the best ruckman I’ve seen. Goodes and Buddy were good but they can’t displace Lockett, Dunstall or Carey as key forwards.

What is your best non-ATG XI?

Most people have him behind Marshall, Ambrose, Holding and Roberts from what I’ve seen. I don’t necessarily agree but that’s what I’ve observed

What is your best non-ATG XI?

I like this idea. I’m gonna try for guys who I never see named in their nation’s AT XI, but were outstanding cricketers imo, and could compete with an AT XI David Boon Graham Gooch Ian Chappell Clive Lloyd Stan McCabe VVS Laxman Brad Haddin Richie Benaud Jason Gillespie Joel Garner Courtney Walsh

Would you play Keith Miller in your Australia ATG XI?

G Smith B Richards J Kallis G Pollock D Nourse AB DeVillers A Faulkner M Procter D Steyn H Tayfield A Donald Would challenge any XI. Swap Shaun Pollock for Faulkner if you want an extra quick. Bowling attack of Steyn, Donald, Procter, Tayfield, Faulkner, Kallis is crazy balanced. Also option...

Would you play Keith Miller in your Australia ATG XI?

South Africa would flog England imo. And their spin options are very good
