    Prior V Haddin

    Prior, pretty comfortably for me.

    Spineless pathetic bastards...

I dunno, I think there were few of the dismissals that came across as the batsmen being scared to stand their ground. Understandable of course given what they were up against, but they'll still have to figure out a way to cope with really fast, hostile bowling. I think Cook had the right idea in...

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

I can't actually remember what was the deal with the final match, but the other draw, yeah I already said before I reckon we deserved to win that because of the unfortunate weather. 3-1 probably would have been a more accurate representation of how each of the teams fared.

na they won those matches fair and square. We choked pretty badly at times.

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

So allegedly Piers Morgan said he could face Mitchell Johnson, but will be facing Brett Lee in the nets sometime during this series. I eagerly await this, although I doubt anyone will notice a difference if he gets hit in the face.

It did make me feel pretty good tbh.

    It's spelt retentive, not retenetive.

    Bring back Eddy?

As much as I don't usually like the idea of keeping a winning team exactly the same for the sake of it, in this instance I actually would be keeping it the same for now (minus Lyon for another pace bowler perhaps). It's been a good while since this team has actually won a few matches on the...

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

"All four games were tight and could have gone either way. Three-nil probably flatters us a bit if we are being brutally honest. But at the same time we fought out of holes and that is what you need in a series like this one." That's a contradiction of meaning for me. If you were able to fight...

Hooksey, so do you think Aus deserved to win any of the 3 matches that Eng won?

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

spikey, To an ignorant outsider, yes (who should be irrelevant in these discussions). Why are we taking the scorecard on face value alone when we are obviously more aware of the context of the score? I have contention with people who are actually aware of the context, yet still would say 3-0...

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Why are we discussing face value, when nobody here takes it on face value ffs? If you watched the series, then you'd know 3-0 doesn't flatter them.

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Hooksey said "the 3-0 result was flattering". If you actually watched the series I don't know how you can say that. Every game England won, they deserved to win. Just because they didn't dominate a couple of those games, doesn't mean the result flatters them.

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

not the point I was making. I don't care about some outsider who didn't even watch the series and takes the 3-0 result purely on face value. I'm talking about people who watched the series, and still think that, perhaps, some of the games in which England won were down to them being lucky or...

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Well I think some people think that the 3 games they won flattered them, which I don't really agree with. There were moments we should have seized in those matches which we simply didn't, and we payed the price. I think it was always on the cards though that this series was going to be tight...

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

It was flattering in so far as it should have been 3-1, thanks to the weather which probably cost us as game. But other than that Eng fully deserved to win. Some of the matches were close, but they consistently took hold of the big moments in the games, and we didn't.

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

ah that's a bit balls. The prospect of Patto, Johnson and Harris bowling in tandem would have been pretty amazing.

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Whats the news on Patto. Likely to be ready for perth or not? Wouldn't be opposed to playing 4 quicks, didn't think Lyon provided much at all this game.

    Rank your country's commentary team

Richie Benaud - 4: Was the best, is now pretty senile. Probs shouldn't be commentating still. Bill Lawry - 7: Quite like Bill. He doesn't add much insight into the game but brings excitement to it, which is more than half the job done. Ian Chappell - 6.5: Pretty good insight most of the time...

    Mitchell Johnson

I think the point about him now having a consistent attack to support him will be the one to watch. Maybe if guys like Harris etc. are continually taking wickets at the other end he won't feel such pressure to be in the spotlight all the time and it could free up his bowling. Only time will tell...
