    As much as Tim Southee has frustrated me on occasions over the years, he's always been consistent about how much playing tests for his country means for him. Gotta credit and respect him for that, especially seeing as he doesn't ever reveal much in interviews.

    Wouldn't be surprised if they pick him because of what happened in the last two tests. But then the spinners on both sides give up a collective 500 runs with the only wicket going to Lyon - a hugely controversial hit the ball twice decision - and then NZ never picks a specialist spinner at home...

    Yet we've all seen occasions when it was obviously incorrect. Why not just accept that Hawkeye isn't perfect? There will never be a system that gets every decision right.

    Sure, most of the time. But it is definitely a thing. Just as the software is not, and can never be, completely accurate. Nor the hardware itself, even if somehow mounted to an immovable object, in a vacuum.

    Cameras can be affected by the wind. The objects they are mounted to (e.g. buildings) can also vibrate or sway due to wind or people moving around on/in them.
