Well, maybe he's better off with a bit more responsibility up the order. If J-Rydz come back for Melbourne, drop out Elliott and leave Mills where he is.

If he's been consistent today, then he'll be ripe for the picking in the next game!

ffs, why are the Black Caps always getting a raw deal in Perth??????

I wouldn't mind seeing McGlashan in the side though....I think he's getting better with every match.

Well I suppose Elliott's doing a good job here. He's striking at 100 and rotating to the strike to McCullum well.

I'd almost consider using Peter McGlashan as a specialist six or seven in one-day cricket..his ability to find the boundary is incredible.

4 overs to go..270 should be the target at least.

It's a shame Mills hasn't really done better with the bat at international level because he's clearly capable of scoring runs.

Maybe this 180 for three plan involves a bit of trickery in the order by Moles???

I guess they've said to Mills he can have a licence, and if he smacks 20 off 10 balls then it'll be worth while.

this is interesting...Kyle Mills is the new batsmen to replace Taylor.

I managed to interview Jake Oram the other day, and I gotta say..along with Craig Cumming, he is the nicest person to speak to. Absolute legend. Anyway, the chances of him making this tour are almost zilch if you ask me..if the series is tied 2 - 2 then he may get across for the decider, but...

I'm looking forward to seeing what Boulty can do. He'll be up against some pretty handy individuals with the bat.

I have a feeling McCullum has changed his approach somewhat...Andy Moles is keen to see the side always reach 180 runs with a maximum loss of three wickets so maybe Brendon's decided to tone it down, get himself in and then accelerate once they reach a certain point.

Well no wonder Victoria's remained very quiet on this. They were already plotting something similar, except NSW's got the jump on them. You can hardly blame NSW for working within the rules that are in place...that want a better chance to win the Champions League and they can't sign up any...

    Road to IPL 2009.

Bangalore will have a bit more oomph in their batting this time around with Pietersen joining Ross Taylor.

Having said that, if Tait doesn't get it right..he'll go for plenty. There's no guarantee Tait will turn up in all 5 ODI's with accuracy.

Yes, i'm not sure why they discarded Thompson for Diamanti...Diamanti seems to be a run of the mill bits and pieces player while Thompson seems to have just that little bit more x-factor about him.

The fact is, Fulton demands selection. He has a number of positives over Daniel Flynn. A) Fulton averages 44 in FC cricket and 36 in List A after 7 or 8 seasons in domestic cricket. B) his form is relatively good right now. If Fulton's in form, then it should be a no brainer to put him in...

Yes, it's rather depressing to look down that list and see the majority of the top performers are either inelligble or age is against them. Otago's adamant Neil Wagner's gunning for a Black Caps spot eventually and he's only early 20's so I think we can wait a couple of extra years as he looks...
