    ***Official*** English Domestic Season 2008

Don't think I've ever looked forward to the end of a domestic season so much. Watch us go and throw away our Division 1 status in the Championship now.

Bopara in second ball - Pettini out for a golden.

Have lost track of the domestic season really having been away so much over the last month and a half, but Kent are looking on course for promotion in the Pro40 which will be some compensation for missing out at the final hurdle in 20:20 and the C&G Cup. Graham Ford deserves tremendous credit...

Balls. Would be pretty hacked off if cricket hadn't been replaced with several higher priorities recently!

Two wrongs don't make a right though? Anyway, looks like batting was easier in that game, given that a 50 was scored in each innings of the match.

Bit of a joke if you ask me, how can 38 wickets fall in two days of play minus time lost for interruptions with neither side looking as though they're going to manage a score of over 150 and there not be a problem with the pitch?

On the plus side, it might mean that Tredwell comes in at a position that more accurately relects his ability as a batsman...

Key obviously treating this game with the disdain it deserves, sending in Khan as a pinch-hitter at 3. Khan gets out first ball.

Yeah, Kent's batting lineup is probably the weakest it's been all season but 30 wickets taken by tea on the second day is ridiculous, especially when time has also been lost to rain. Durham to be docked some points methinks...

Ludicrous stuff at the Riverside, surely there has to be a pitch inspection there?

He's got my vote. Again, so glad we bat down to 9.

Saggers is a good lad as well. 68 for the tenth wicket and counting.

Wow, what a remarkable turnaround - 76 from the first 14 overs, 99 off the last 6! Great innings from Stevo.

Hmmm, looks like batting is tough going at Edgbaston. Kent 76/4 from 14. Edit: Haha, then Stevens takes 22 off a Groenewald over. Nice :)

    Archived [19/01/09] Battrick

Nah - I've always been of the school of thought that if you're going to play a game, you need to play it properly. I'd just get irritated with not having the time to perfect my side and orders and make them the best they can be. I'll list Hamed for you though.

    Archived [19/01/09] Battrick

Can't list Hay unfortunately as he's still under contract for a few weeks. I can only list one of the others as I have 15 players and can't be faffed with buying more to release others. Hamed is resp/med with feeble stamina, Lucas is comp/comp with mediocre stamina. Talbot is comp/abys batting...

    CW Battrick Cup, season ten

Won't be available for the Cup as I'm quitting battrick - really enjoyed last season's cup though so I hope this one proves to be as interesting and competitive

So, this is it. I've decided to resign from battrick - not because I don't enjoy it, but partly because I'm going to be travelling quite a lot in the next year or so and don't want to be worrying about whether I've set my orders correctly or not and partly because with all the problems the game...
