The website doesn't work at all so not a promising start! e: I found the login page via google and once I logged in it started working a bit better

    NZ domestic season 2023/24

Even though they aren't pretty wickets, 5-24 off 9.2 overs is impressive. They clearly couldn't get a hold of him.

Reckon that action has good potential too if the back holds up.

    NZ domestic season 2023/24

I'm of the firm opinion that sometimes it doesn't/shouldn't matter that you're an established player, if there's no space for you, there's no space. Stability obviously isn't a bad thing, but the longer you hold off picking more promising/talented players, the more you shoot yourself in the foot...

    ***Official***Match #32 - New Zealand vs South Africa - November 1st - Pune (D/N)

Can't feel comfortable bowling first against this SA team, that dew factor better be worth it!

Jason Roy is one of those enigma players where nobody has ever seen him score runs, but apparently he has a good record.

We'll lose one test, and then draw a match where we were slightly on top when it rains. Gary Stead will say it's a positive result pointing toward historical results where we were thrashed way worse vs the Saffers. (I do actually reckon we'll win, just want to get that good old negativity in...

I think highly of Tom Latham in general but he has felt off this whole summer. Seems to be playing very within himself and timid. I wouldn't pick him for the WC with current form, though he does play well in India.

The ODI series will be more telling for Young I think. Despite doing well at domestic T20, I don't see him as a T20 player, so the under performance here isn't shocking.

Odds on changing the squad to accommodate a performing player in unfamiliar conditions, anyone?

What happened to Lister? The only mention I can see in the comms is that he bowled and then at the very end it said Neesham took over as Lister was injured. Glad we got the W, but gee there was some average bowling at the end. I'm not convinced our tactic of scoring 30-40 in the powerplay is...

I think it was not out by about a frame or two, super tight. I'm glad to see SL put up a total so I'm not complaining though

Tom Latham is underrated in T20s IMO, he often performs really well in Super Smash games, and you can see he actually has a good attacking mindset in some of his ODI knocks. His record in internationals isn't great though to be fair, decent average but a very low strike rate.

5 wickets up for Toole. I wonder if he'll be a one season wonder or if this is the start of something bigger. Not so good in the first innings but the second dig has been impressive (I assume, given that we seem to have no coverage)

Hopefully it's not as serious as it looked but you get the feeling it could be a while before we get Kane back (again). Frustrating as his form had been so good.

Blundell to open tomorrow. Not sure what NZ have against Ravindra opening but they are sure as hell committed to forcing anyone who can roll their arm over to bat down the order.

50 up for Clarkson off 36 balls, on a pitch where hardly anybody has managed to score at all. Can't believe he isn't even in the NZ squad.

Not true as they drive on the other side of the road in America

No chance of rain. It's 5 degrees, feels like 0. Even if it wasn't still bucketing down there's no way it would dry for a match. I work on the edge of Hagley Park so I can promise it's quite miserable here, and the weather's pretty poor too.
