    The CHAMPS are HERE

We were well and truly beaten by the Aussies but to have a game washed out against one of the lesser nations is really unlucky. Would we have beaten Scotland, that's obviously open for debate but there's only been 1 game washed out and to be involved in that game against a weaker team is a bad...

    The CHAMPS are HERE

Hazlewoods comments about the Scotland game show what we all know - the Aussies are scared of us. As usual only the Aussie's cheating ways can stop England now.

Group B - England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman

The Aussies are perfectly entitled to rest key players and I'm sure they will. However, whatever team they put out should try 100% to perform to the best of it's ability. And I'm sure they will.

    Match #17 - Australia vs England - 8 June

That's 100% correct. Our batting is fine - yes Bairstow was poor and Jacks is still finding his way, but our bowling is our weaker discipline. To add to that, we've picked the wrong attack for the conditions. Curran and Topley should have played over Wood and Jordan. Pace off the ball was...

Group B - England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman

It would have been a tough chase but its a real shame the rain intervened, particularly for Scotland, who batted really well. Once again though, we've started a tournament sluggishly. Whilst Scotland batted well, our bowling and fielding was pretty ordinary.

Match #6- England vs Scotland - June 4th - Kensington Oval, Barbados-- Group B

We often start these tournaments slowly, even when we've gone in to win them. So no messing about today. Playing Scotland is always a potential banana skin but we need to hit them hard and hit them early and get the job done.

Match #4- Sri Lanka vs South Africa (D)- June 3rd, New York— Group D

Time for S Africa to step up to the plate. Their side is so strong and they need to get a world title under their belts. SL are always a test but SA need to despatch them like a title winning team should.

All CWC squads are in, who were some of the best players to miss out on selection?

For England I would have had David Willey in.

    Vale Derek Underwood

Deadly was a simply brilliant bowler. His key asset was the pace he bowled at, quicker than a normal spinner but could still turn the ball significantly. The best bowler I've ever seen for England.

    English Domestic Season 2024

After the virtual washout against Surrey, a decent enough 1st session against Hants, after losing the toss. Need to remove Vince though, starting to look pretty threatening.

Ten players you wished you could have seen live in their prime?

Bradman Hobbs Hammond G Pollock Sobers Tyson Larwood Miller Trueman Thomson - I saw him several times but only after his injury - would love to have seen him at his peak

*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

That's just one series in each country though. When did India last win a series in England - 2007. When did Australia last win a series in England- 2001. My point is that yes England struggle in India but top teams struggle when they come to England.

To be a great team, you have to win away from home and win against the likes of India, Australia and England. But for us, we're not in that conversation. It's wrong but England's management will be judged largely by what happens against Australia. If we'd got beat away to Australia 4-1 there...

England players and selection discussion thread

I think our batting is in the best shape it's been for ages. Duckett and Crawley at the top of the order are proving to be the best partnership we've had in ages. Pope at 3, Root at 4, Brook at 5 with Stokes at 6 is pretty good as well. Bairstow will keep and bat a 7 - in home conditions...

*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

We've been woeful in this test, it looked like a test too far for a team that has already lost the series and wants to go home. Whilst that's understandable it was nonetheless unacceptable. Before the series started I didn't give us any chance and that proved right, we were actually more...

Duckett's interviews have been really embarrassing of late and he's coming across as a bit of a knob to be honest. Someone needs to get a grip of him and tell him to behave.

I think the team is as expected. Robinson was really disappointing with the ball in the last test and a fit and firing Woody is always a threat.

Excellent knock from the skipper to see Ireland home. Really big win and well deserved.
