    Greg Chappell vs Joe Root

"Yes" you're really giving Burgey a heart attack or "yes" WSC is included?
  2. Red_Ink_Squid

    Sachin Tendulkar vs Michael Jordan

I personally know more cricket fans than basketball fans, so I agree this must be correct.

    Ian Botham vs Shaun Pollock

Is it worth exploring the unwritten assumption here that higher average = better batsman? As I'm not sure that necessarily holds when we're talking about batting in the lower order. Obviously not getting out is a Good Thing and requires batting skill, and especially when there's a set batsman...

Is Joe Root belongs to the same league as Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar

Might do later. In the meantime I voted 'no' because Joe Root is obviously on a higher level than n00bs like Sachin and Lara, who played longer ago and I don't remember quite so well.

    Sachin Tendulkar vs Michael Jordan

Similar level to Lara but on balance, probably slightly better overall.

    CT Awards

Ravindra Head Root Axar Latham + Philips Maxwell Bracewell Jadeja Santner* Chakravarthy Bats deep, covers most of the bowling options needed.

    Sachin Tendulkar vs Michael Jordan

    Jordan was rubbish at cricket.

    Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

India have never successfully chased exactly 252 in Dubai to win the final of an ICC tournament. History is on New Zealand's side here.

    Ian Botham vs Shaun Pollock

If you're docking Pollock's batting for the 2000s era (probably fair) are you also giving him a boost for bowling on those same pitches?

    Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

Santner gonna make them regret taking that wicket.

    Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

They're paying tribute to "home" team of Pakistan since their fans didn't actually get to watch their own team play.

    Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

There's a reason why they call him "Double Bradman."

    Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

Nothing so badly as Latham just missed a sweep shot.
  14. Red_Ink_Squid

    Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

Phillips is NZ's fastest scorer. Thus, getting him to the crease early like this is the best way to ensure NZ's score is the highest it can be. Good strategy from the Blackcaps.

Goodness, you should see their fielding without the PEDs!!

    Australian all-time ODI XI?

Gilchrist + Watson (4) Ponting * Chappell (5) Bevan (8) Symonds (6) Hussey Maxwell (7) Starc (2) Warne (3) McGrath (1) Specialist bowlers are for cowards, right @honestbharani?

    Allan Border vs Kumar Sangakkara

19 tons in wins for Sangakkara, 5 for Border. Gotta go with the match winner.
