If the quickies get sick of bowling into the wind you give Symonds and Pup Clarke a bowl. In this attack I thought Lee and Tait would bowl downwind and S Clarke and Johnson into the wind - seems balanced enough unless Ive misread the cross wind

Seniority is alive and well amongst the Aussie team. Too many want the breeze at the back and Tait is on the end of the line. Tait was picked as a 4th quick and that is absurd - I wanted him in the team but as the 4 working as a unit.

    Harbhajan reignites racism storm

How does Punter who was in the cricket academy at 17 and has just been a full time cricketer, liked to wrestle with Lang after the game, going to the TAB possibly know that when he called someone a bastard he was insulting their whole family. These guys just got media training last year or so...

    Harbhajan reignites racism storm

That's the issue - get the captains together and work through it - reporting Bhajji was not the way to do it. On the other hand we teach some of them at the cricket academy, Les Burdett went there to talk about pitch preparation......we may as well hold a conference in India and teach them...

Be over in 3 days so there will be plenty of time to talk about another controversy before the Adelaide test...........Indians will be jumping around like monkeys (sorry....gazelles)

    Harbhajan reignites racism storm

Monkey Monkey is racist, Harby knows it is racist, the Indian crowd on the recent tour included a photo and a caption reading something like "why is there monkey among the kangaroos?" among other things. Anyway the Indians seem to find the swear words directed to them by this Aust side and...

Fined and warned Agreed. The sort it out in the meeting between match refs, officials and captains before the next test - so they can air their grievances in the right setting

The beginning of the end for sledging?

Great definition of sledging Yep - most irritating sledging is the ongoing conversation between keeper and slips and bowlers, about your technique, clothing....etc etc. Good thing though as a batsman - the more it irritates you the longer you are out there.

The beginning of the end for sledging?

Sledging Wow - what a day out that bloke had...120 runs...doesnt look the so he was brought into line8-) Deserved the bouncers but....and I cant see anyone getting reported for that - looks like he enjoyed the bouncers anyway. Kumble and Ponting should compile a list of words you cant say...

Yep only 20 or so people who are near the tv studio would be burning the effigies I would guess. I'll get all my cricket comment from this chat room and channel 9 with the volume turned down in future.....then I know its reliable informed and up to date

You mean that thousands of Indian people are not buring effigy's of Australian players and Steve Bucknor......I'm disappointed I was working on an effigy of my boss so I could burn that but I remembered that I get paid quite well and he's not a bad bloke and if I accidentally burn down the...

Probably some tv journalist takes a flag or a picture of Bucknor or the Aussie team into a street, gets 20 people to burn them and there's a story. Always have very tight shots of these things

Looks like classic Thommo quote..... Why dont we as part of the cricket academy program that we help Indian cricketers with put sledging in as a subject. We've trained some of their cricketers, sent Les Burdett there to help them with pitch preparation awhile back so they can make pitches more...

The beginning of the end for sledging?

If they got Harby out quicker none of this would have happened. Anyway I dont know what sledging is.... If you edge one down to third man for the third time in a row and the fast bowler says "you f..... ar... c...." out of earshot of the umpire should he be reported ? An issue here is that...

The beginning of the end for sledging?

India are still waiting for outcome of the appeal hearing for Harby's 3 match ban...they still have left the option open to go home
