    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

You've got to bowl well on this pitch but rely on the batter to make mistakes. Duckett and Pope got themselves out, Crawley's dismissal wasn't that good a ball, but Brook was probably the only wicket that the bowler earned. Scores should be as high as the last two tests really. I suspect Woakes...

Well he was almost out twice in his first three balls.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Batting not easy today, so Root will obviously score a hundred.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

We can't keep pretending that Zak Crawley is going to improve, can we? He is 27, has played fifty plus tests, and that 267 was in his EIGHTH test. His 189 against Australia was two Summers ago and only has the flat-track bully ton against Zimbabwe since. I don't blame him - he's a middling CC D2...

Embarrassing performance with the bat. Usual rubbish from the usual suspects. Edwards has got no chance improving these players.

DWH gets one good score, follows it up with a poor one (and that run will continue). Undroppable.

iirc Pope's scores massively drop off across each innings, e.g. great in the first innings of a Test (over 50) averaging around 16, so basically a number nine, in the fourth innings.

I saw Key and Terry Crawley at a golf course near Canterbury last week, so no chance (may not have happened btw).

Let's all be glad that the highest test score ever wasn't scored by a very mediocre all rounder.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

England clearly aren't going to drop Crawley despite meagre returns but the bowling needs some changes. Carse is probably the only one I'd be desperate to keep for the third test.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

I'd blame the six guys who got ducks first time round and the top order again this time round.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Woakes needs a rest. Has bowled rubbish and batting is a shadow of its former self. Dawson and Atkinson would be an upgrade on Woakes and Bashir.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

As much as Foakes was a tremendous keeper, he absolutely could not bat with tailenders. Used to get bogged down, then they or he would get out.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Especially as England folded once the sixth wicket fell in the first innings.

If I was Stokes, I'd take the seamer and tell Smith to take Jadeja.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

And yet this attack took out six guys for ducks. England can chase 500 on a flat wicket but sometimes they bat like they can't be arsed and want to get a round of golf in. India are well ahead in this game and the odds are on them winning.

AUS are on big trouble in the next few years once they start losing bowlers.

England somehow win that despite some ordinary fielding.

ENG go from 137-0 from 15.1 to 171-9 from 20. IND likely to chase this down easily enough.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

England tail batting like Josh tongue was bowling
