    Cricket and the Olympics

Or perhaps not... Who wants that? There two too many test teams at the moment anyway. Worst of all, the yanks might start playing it, what a disaster that would be!

Has the 'world cup' too many teams?

And I advocate that ONLY these top 8 should be competing. After all, this is the WORLD CUP, not some demonstration tournament. It's to win a world championship in ODI Cricket, it's serious stuff. If a team has no chance to ultimately win, why include them?

    Cricket and the Olympics

The Olympic spirit was SUPPOSED to be individualistic and sportsmanlike when the first modern olympics were held at the end of the 19th century. Cricket, the sport we all love, is a team sport that while ideally gentlemanly is very much about intrigue and gamesmanship like lawn bowls or croquet...

Has the 'world cup' too many teams?

I read with some dismay that the upcoming ICC world cup tournament will be competed amongst 16 teams (!). Call me negative, but I strongly feel that this is simply too many teams and does NOT do the sport of cricket a service. Already amongst the teams with 'test' status there is a great...

    Cricket and the Olympics

I don't think Cricket should ever be at the olympics. It's not very international, takes alot of time and space, is proffessional and doesn't really fit into the olympic spirit. Although in my opinion there are plenty of sports that are competed at the olympics that shouldn't be for the above...
