5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Sounds like England have thrown away a strong position? 3 dropped catches and a missed run out in that mini session + ducketts stupid shot to give India and opening.

Even Cummins can't do it consistently. Looked a shadow of his best by the end of the 23 ashes.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Is this the worst bowling attack england have fielded in, like, decades? Unless Atkinson is suddenly fully fit, woakes is the best bowler in this side and he's averaging 53 this summer with the ball.

Your treating ODI's like there test prep. Short was first choice in the CT with head before his injury and actually found some form. With a WC in 2 years I like the idea of giving him a run of games to settle.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Wait, if India win the 5th test, who gets the trophy? England have obviously won the moral trophy, but it's a drawn series at 2-2 and this is the first "Anderson-Tendulkar trophy", not sure if India retain it because they beat England in the old version of this series in India.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

If you exclude the 9 test's against bazball england, Gill's average goes from 42.5 to 31.2. Still better than Zak Crawley's career mark........

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Wonder what gill's test average is if you exclude test's vs baz-stokes england? He's averaging 100 this series and made 452 runs @55 last time they toured india. That's 9 test's, 1200 runs @~75 odd and 6 of his 9 test hundreds.

Has the ball gone soft? Feels like the batsmen have really struggled to hit the ball these past few overs. Fair few full tosses they've mishit.

That last 6 from green was nuts. Front foot, straight hit off a back of a length ball for an 85 metre six.

Do we have ball by ball data that far back to even calculate averages vs particular bowlers/runs scored by particular bowlers?
