    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Top 5 bowling averages at Lords (30+ wickets) Woakes' all-round record at Lord's is so good that it's only beaten by Imran and Kallis at their favourite grounds for any player anywhere (he also has his Old Trafford record sneak into the top 10, ahead of Botham at Headingley).

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

That Mirpur test had Bangladesh recover from 24/5. After a partnership between Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das of 272, they went on to record an extra 3 ducks from the tailenders.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

2nd most runs from a top 7 where there were 3+ ducks. 27 more for the record

    Lions tour 2025

British and Irish Lions: Owen Farrell set to join tour of Australia - BBC Sport You'd think he'd be in from the start if he was going to be picked, rather than a replacement for Daly who was presumably there to cover the collective outside backs.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

They haven't dropped Kuldeep because he wasn't in the team. I don't particularly disagree with you, it's just very strange to frame him not being picked as being 'dropped' from a team that only existed in your mind.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

I mean, they haven't dropped a bowler. The balance change is bringing in an allrounder for a batsman.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

I would rather have had a batsman and a bowler instead of a 2nd and 3rd allrounder I think in just about every situation. It doesn't matter *that* much though. The feeling of England being in charge here is more or less where they were the last time they lost a match in NZ.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Playing only two specialist seamers with some combination of Sundar/Jadeja/Kuldeep risks a lot on the toss. It's been very hot this week in Birmingham but it's been humid as well and it's overcast this morning, so I don't think there'll be any more assistance for spinners then you'd normally...

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

As when one significantly overdoes it on the sour sweets - that's a bit harsh on tongue.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Jadeja is the senior bowler and and senior lower-middle bat. There being problems in these areas doesn't automatically mean you drop him, it means improving there is a case of him getting his act together, which he probably will. Same as Woakes for England. He had a crap game, but is required...

    1st Test (Leeds) - 20th June

Is it a real regression or just a crap performance though? Genuinely asking as I didn't watch them in Aus.

    1st Test (Leeds) - 20th June

I'm suprised this caught all the crap it did even though it didn't work out. This isn't like Nasser going against the grain in Brisbane for no reason and getting immediately punished, the facts and figures back up chasing here. As mentioned earlier in the thread, there's only something in it for...

    1st Test (Leeds) - 20th June

It's almost like he was off the field due to being unfit as oppose to just not feeling like it.
