*Official* VB Series - Australia, India & Zimbabwe

Most of his balls were big outswingers that started on the line of the stumps, and werent all that wide anyway. In fact a lot of them missed the stumps for height as much as width, which brings in the idea that to actually hit the stumps/ get lbws you have to bowl very full at perth, with would...

    matthew hayden or brian lara?

Lara is the best batsman in the world when he is in a phase of being "hungry for runs"- the problem is that he seems to slip in and out of this phase. The good thing about hayden is that he is simply a run machine and always craves more. On pure talent, though, lara is much better.

    To End All Arguements

The only good things about ganguly's captaincy are his ability to irritate opponents and his ability to galvinise his team. From a purely cricketing perspective, however, he is a rubbish tactition. He often seems to have his bowlers bowling from the wrong ends ( so the wind hurts rather than...

    To End All Arguements

Yeah, the way he turns his head and ducks into bouncers with his bat hanging in the air is all style:lol:

    To End All Arguements

Ganguly simply cant play short pitched bowling thats aimed at his thoat- if u watched the vb series u would see that he has been out to meek fends every innings in the last couple of weeks. People say he is an excellent odi batsman and his average does suport it- one thing to consider, however...

Another Honest Mistake, Another Australian :)

Another honest mistake: Another indian. (judge not lest ye be judged)

*Official* VB Series - Australia, India & Zimbabwe

Yeah ganguly's odi average is inflated due to large number of games vs minnows (india seem to play zimbabwe more than anyone) and high proportion of games on subcontinental highways with small outfields where the scores of batting teams are often much higher than the rest of the world.

Another Honest Mistake, Another Australian :)

Anyone who thinks that tendulkar was unfairly given out lbw due to the fact the ball hit him on the head has no idea about the rules of cricket. The only questionable issue was the height, but the side on shot showed that the ball hit tendulkar no higher than bail height and was actually on its...

whats going on with acb selectors

One of the reasons for his lack of tests/odis was the prescence of better bowlers that no longer play- reiffel, fleming and to some extent collin miller. At the moment, though, there are really no better options in Australian domestic cricket (11 ING wickets at 15 this season). This is an...

whats going on with acb selectors

Quote by Buggsy: "as did n braken" Kasperwicz has also carried his good form consistently throughout the summer- like he does every summer Bracken has most certainly not been consisten- he can have his moments (ie india) but he is one of the most erratic performers in the country. If youve...

Indian batsmen : still bunnies on pacey wickets?

New Zealand wickets are NOT that bouncy- they are slow and low and offer lateral movement. The point about dravid, therefore, holds no water.

whats going on with acb selectors

1/ Bichel has been bowling rubbish (he is also even older than Kasper as well- not that that should really influence selection) 2/But if there is an injury or something kasper will reliably do the business 3/I have no idea why he has never been in the side all these years- that was the real...

whats going on with acb selectors

Whilst it is reasonable to look to the future, you dont introduce a 2o-odd year old quick to the team in the finals of a major competition- that is just lunacy. Kasper is in great form, and the selectors know that if he is called upon he will reliably do the business. There are plenty of...

whats going on with acb selectors

Do you actually follow Australian cricket that closely? Kasprowicz more than deserves him chance, and is year after year one of the most dangerous bowlers in the country. He got called up in india recently and did a fine job- in fact, i'm surprised he wasnt seriously considered for the last...

*Official* VB Series - Australia, India & Zimbabwe

Totally agree with that point. Since laxman has been scoring runs there have been all these reports of him having an impregnable technique, which is a fallacy. He hardly ever moves his feet to cover the ball outside offstump early in his innings, its just that the combination of slow pitches...

    Is Warne better than Muralitharan?

Did u see the final day of the Adelaide test? Even bowling with an injury he was the most dangerous of the bowlers by far and beat the bet regularly. Whilst he might not be a world beater he has pace and bouce and can swing it away a bit and bowls a pretty usefull nip-backer (see 3rd test and...

    Is Warne better than Muralitharan?

Williams has been Australia's best bowler for most of this summer- what do u think is wrong with him?

Who are the most underated and overated players

Overrated: P.Patel (sure he has potential, but recently he's missed so many simple stumpings) A.Nehra (bowls pies, rivals tuffnel with batting and fielding ability-some much for a star paceman to propel india to future world domination) T.Taibu (hes actually pretty good, just not as good as a...
