Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

Smithy gives it the 'straight up' treatment for a pull that goes flat for a 72m six. Leave that stuff to Sumo, big man In Smith's defense, he rides an emotional rollercoaster with us and probably wanted it to be 'straight up'

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

Compared with Rachin, who has 5 tons in 13 ICC 50-over innings, I think the stat was. Insane

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

Yep, KJ generally hitting a hard length and looking good. If O'Rourke goes well, we're a long way to winning this. I like the fact that ball from Rickleton played up a bit, bodes well

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

The pitch has a two-paced feel about it at times and Rickelton got out in front of himself to one that held. Bavuma is having a 'mare, but that had nothing to do with the dismissal.

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

Yeah but one of those was four leg byes, right? It's a bit misleading. Bracewell is a wonderful hitter, you don't turn down runs with him at the crease

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

I'm genuinely nervous about this game, a trophy in 50-over cricket I reckon would mean something - as it would to beat India in a final on the sub-continent.

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

Ah true, I forgot there was a QF in that World Cup. I was being silly, for the most part

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

Is it going on the Hundred? I bet they pumped lots of money into that through marketing and PR people

    Semi-Final #1- India v Australia- Tuesday, March 4th- Dubai

They're quite clearly the favourites in conditions they strong-armed their way into, although they would have been favourites in Pakistan, too.

Honest question without judgement of the answer...how, in his case?

Have SA ever beaten anyone in a knockout game? I've just tempted the worst of fate there...

They're really determined to destroy this guy, or at least stunt his development aren't they?

PEWS showing growth in posting over the years is wild, the man is becoming a walking meme who only wanders in to say that Finn Allen is boshing a *insert action here* or to reference some obscure one-time international player that happened to wander out in a Canberra club match

    12th Match - India v New Zealand

Those sort of bowlers are just hard for NZers to pick, because we're not exposed to it. We're sitting ducks on reasonably quick, turning wickets where we can't readily pick turn off the pitch

    12th Match - India v New Zealand

One thing I will say, is that winning the toss and bowling first on a pitch that clearly got harder to bat on, with plenty of spin options in India's side, is an interesting one....dew or no dew. Do we have thoughts on that? I didn't see the first innings or the toss

    12th Match - India v New Zealand

I mean, you could argue they might have had more desperation in a do-or-die game, but generally it looked to me like they were trying to win the game but were beaten by the conditions and the skill of the bowlers. They looked like they couldn't pick Varun

    12th Match - India v New Zealand

I watched from when Mitchell came in, that was an incredibly hard pitch to bat on against quality spin. I don't buy into that for a second. If we did make the final against India (big if, I know), I'd bring back Conway as a LHer who has shown the ability to play spin in India and sets up better...

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

He's a junkyard cricketer. That was a decent ball and others may have got out to it, but he didn't watch it. The cricketing world needs the likes of Allen, Konstas and JFM to fail so order is restored. If anyone hasn't seen Konstas' dismissal in an FC game against Victoria, bowled by Boland...
