    41st Match - England v New Zealand

Slap that Kohli too with a ban. For dissent. For not slapping MS Phoney. For whatever.

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

The basic idea is to prepare a transparent recipe for winning: 1. Win the toss 2. Bat first Even England have been cured of the 'we are a great chasing team; we will bowl first' disease.

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

+1. England deserve to be in the semifinals; they should just about manage to win this game. New Zealand must win this World Cup; so without damaging the Kiwi NRR too much. My ideal scenario of an England New Zealand final is looking quite likely now.

The disappointment of the 2019 Cricket World Cup being a 10 team World Cup

I would like to see more teams; but there is no denying that this has turned out to be a very good World Cup; so much better than than the last two editions. Play all future World Cups in England, I say.

No that's not it Mr Sambit Bal

Both Dhoni and Jadhav deserve to be dropped for all subsequent games. If the team management meekly accepts this nonsense, decide to do nothing about this, we need better people to be in charge of the team; it ought to result in the end of the tenures of Kohli and Shastri as captain and coach.

    38th Match - India v England

Yes. I think so. Get the run rate up to nine first and then collapse when it starts looking possible.

    38th Match - India v England

    It is a winning total.

    37th Match - New Zealand v Australia

So, is the game against England going to be a 'must win' game for both sides? This is what I didn't want to see.

    38th Match - India v England

England are one of the four best teams in this tournament; they deserve to be in the semi finals; be in contention for the cup. Should win this game quite easily, now.

    36th Match - Pakistan v Afghanistan

What is going on here? Six down with seventy to get, is it? C'mon, you Pakistan guys, you can do it; keep your heads, and keep your qualification hopes alive.

    37th Match - New Zealand v Australia

That was a fiery finish. It should lift the spirits of the Kiwis going into the break; very chaseable, I think.

    37th Match - New Zealand v Australia

230 would be below par, but still defendable on this wicket.

    37th Match - New Zealand v Australia

Carey is batting really well; handling both spin and pace with aplomb.

    37th Match - New Zealand v Australia

This Carey guy is good. 1. Warner 2. Finch ... zzz ... 7. Carey. May be, Khawaja, still looking somewhat suspect, will step up today

    36th Match - Pakistan v Afghanistan

Don't think Pakistan should worry about net run rate; it is going to be decided on points earned.

    36th Match - Pakistan v Afghanistan

It is spinning a fair bit; nevertheless, all the wickets so far have been from poor shots by the batsman.
  17. Borges

    36th Match - Pakistan v Afghanistan

Still think 270 would be par; Afghanistan won't get anywhere near that.
  18. Borges

    36th Match - Pakistan v Afghanistan

What would be a par score on this pitch? 270? It seems to have some assistance for spin.
  19. Borges

    37th Match - New Zealand v Australia

C';mon, you Kiwis! Win this game; just win it! Then you can afford to lose to England (after they have beaten India), and let them march into the semifinals. It would create a win-win situation, as they say.

    36th Match - Pakistan v Afghanistan

I suppose the whole thing is going to be decided on points; with better weather the net run rate has become quite irrelevant now. Pakistan should concentrate on doing just enough to win this game, without taking unnecessary risks.
