Yep, all spot on. The batting reserves are strong still but Aus could be a team in transition. England have lost key seamers over the last few years but the reserves are coming through. A couple of individuals not having a great series, I wonder if there'll be changes for the next ODI?

Biggest surprise in the England squad is the inclusion of Robinson. He's obviously not fit, why keep him in the squad? Disappointed regarding Foakes like most on here. But I think we expected it.

Jeez, that was awful. Showed how wasteful England were last night throwing wickets away against tired bowlers in benign conditions. This morning there's been a bit of spice in the pitch and the bowlers were rested. Well bowled 'Straya

UPDATE from CA: Nathan Lyon has been diagnosed with a significant calf strain. He will require a period of rehabilitation after this match is concluded. A decision regarding his availability for the remainder of the series will be made at the conclusion of the game. Just posted on Cricinfo

If Brook wants it there's a ton out there for him. Or else he could hit the first short pitched delivery he receives down the throat of deep square. Cricket huh.

Gutted for Lyon. No one ever wants to see an injury ending someone's match.

    2nd test- bowl attacks

Anderson won't play the next two I'd assume, possibly rested for Lord's and then brought back for Headingley (in place of Broad?) Woakes might be a good pick for Lord's. It'd be great to see Wood included also but his selection does depend on how many overs the skipper can bowl, Wood really...

Tough in Izzy Wong being left out. Reports say that Filer is fast, although I've not seen her bowl. I'm very much looking forward to the series.

I just can't call it tomorrow. Realistically England are a bowler down given the state of Moeen's finger but the forecasted conditions favour the English seam bowlers. Stokes may have to bowl a bit more. Blimey, Test Cricket is the best isn't it!
