    It has always been a mystery why some people think if the best 6 batsmen don't make any runs, the 9th best batsman will. Pick the 6 best batmen, 4 best bowlers and the best wicketkeeper. It is simple really. Anything else is just kidding yourself that you won't lose by as much. ☺

    Watched the day 3 highlights of NSW v Tas. There were cracks running down the pitch just outside the stumps. Most of the wickets particularly Bell's and Tremain's , came from balls pitching on those cracks.

    Bazball final verdict

    It has produced a fascinating Ashes test series. As mentioned the english results since McCullum and Stokes teamed up have been outstanding. Imho, the point of "Bazball" is to put the opposition under pressure throughout the game. I'll vote for it ! ☺

    Have always found test cricket interesting. The Bazball approach has made it more so. If most test matches were as close and exciting as the last 3, who would want to watch a short form of the game. ☺
