Slightly below them but in a similar tier yeah
Nah man they're well below, You talk about match factor a lot. Have a look at Gower's match factor away from home. Yousuf was ftb and minnow bully. I like Aravinda but he isn't same class to kp, Gower, clarke etc either

I mean so is Clarke. You have Jayawardene there as well, who isn't much different from Yousuf. Yousuf actually does well in nz and eng, and not always on roads either. So for me, they aren't that far apart

Match factor away from home
Lloyd 1.33
Gower 1.31
Ponting 1.21
Dravid 1.21
Root 1.29

These exercises aren't perfect so I'm not going to debate a lot but Gower's away record is proper ATG, he deserves to be rated much higher than Yousuf, mahela (whom I like a lot btw)

Regarding Clarke, his away record doesn't look great but it's very well balanced. He averages 40 or so almost everywhere. His record in England is affected by touring there with bad back (he was averaging almost 50 there after 3 tours of long 5 match series against terrific attack)

If people are voting for Goddard, why are they also picking a seamer?

Surely Goddard would be 3rd seamer and McCabe 4th. It would make more sense to vote for a spinner.

If 5 seamers are wanted for some strange reason, Wagner would be the best option.

McCabe is a terrible 5th bowler NGL. Also feel the next spinners in line (Derek, Chandra, Bedi, Lyon) can't bat decently. Trumble is a good option, but Gibbs is an offie as well.

He's fine - opened the bowling for Australia. He'd be 4th seamer with Goddard as 3rd. Doesn't matter if the spinner can't bat.

McCabe is a 6th option at best.

More importantly, I don't think Fazal Mahmood should be batting #8 here.
