Well, certainly something more than reasonable for India to defend. It’ll be fun! Fascinatingly, while India are rightly big favorites, the betting sites have England paying 3. I would have thought India would be bigger favorites - it’s a testament to Bazball chasing (as well as Indias inconsistent bowling).

Unpopular opinion I know but I think he should focus more on white ball. India have a window where they can dominate white ball cricket for the next few years with Bumrah.

He's almost 32. Don't think he has the body to play all formats regularly. I'm sure management will take a call on him in maybe a year or something.
There is hardly any significant away series in the next 2-3 years. (Only a two match series in NZ, late on in 2026). So overall going forward, his test career and test impact seem fairly limited because of age and schedule ahead. So I kind of agree with you that he can focus a lot more on white ball cricket going ahead..
