To the surprise of no one. Trouble is with Scrivens, she's not exactly been getting a lot of runs.

I don't know a lot about Emily Arlott, but this was quite a knock, from 22-5 to 289.

Scrivens must have heard you. Despite Essex being bottom of the table, she is now 3rd top scorer behind the Lancs openers with an average of 70.

Has there ever been an instance of a bowler picking up the same batter in consecutive matches that constitutes a ‘hattrick’?

I think DWH is one of these players England need to move on from.

At last something to shout about for Lancashire who beat Surrey by 32 runs to win their first ever trophy in the T20 County Cup
Wonder much that will help the heirarchy at the AGM? Fairly sure comes under Mark Chilton's control being Director of [all] Cricket Performance at Old Trafford. Good for the club and their women's cricket as Thunder have generally under performed previously. Maybe switching back to Counties rather than Regional cricket helped, as for them it's the same.

I noticed another hatrick yesterday too, 3 dropped catches in a row. The first one simple, 2nd and 3rd you'd like to see taken. I see fielding standards have improved.

Sadly, not sure what this Windies team is without Matthews. Bowling and fielding is ok, but the batting is pretty horrendous.

They don’t have any firepower besides her. Qiana Joseph is a hack slugger.

We had good grassroots women’s cricket when I was growing up…which ultimately gave us our only world championship. It’s regressed now to just Hayley and the inepts.

Knight out injured for the Summer, Capsey her replacement for the ODIs. Who says England don't reward failure?

I remember when a hamstring injury used to be 3 weeks out, now it seems it's 4 months (2 Portsmouth players did it too). Must be some reason that they're no longer just pulling the muscle but injuring tendons instead...

This ODI has not made for good viewing so far, toothless bowling versus toothless batting. Someone needs to tell Beaumont to either hit out or get out.

Another year and another edition of the Kwibuka cricket invtational, which Kenya has chosen not to honour this year

Matthews and Joseph out of the Windies line up today. This doesn't bode well for their chase.

Meanwhile, England omit Charlie Dean, a surprising move to me, I assume Capsey and ADR taking up the spare overs (NSB had already been reported as not bowling in this series)
