Close but no imo. Laxman played a great knock in the first innings too and the opposition quality was better.

Ian Botham is the best all round performance.

Came at 4-57. Scored 114 to take team to 296.
7-48 in second innings to dismiss India for. 149.
Fun fact : Bob Taylor became the first player to take 10 catches in a Test and 8 off Botham’s bowling
The fact he is the only cricketer to score a century and take 10+ wickets in away conditions make it arguably the greatest performance in my opinion

Botham’s looks he did it with zero support.
He came at 57-4 and soon it became 57-5. He scored 114 off 144 balls and 2nd highest score was just 44.
