Kamille got a serious injury right in the middle of her push AFAIK and she's been out ever since. Don't think they've botched it
signing her in the first place was the botch. it was a bizarre signing, they already had Megan Byrne signed and weren't doing anything with at that moment. Britt hasn't been let go yet, which is a shame. Both her and Thunder Rosa should have been sacked after all their unprofessional nonsense (there is at least a way back for Rosa)

they'll sign Dakota Kai but they probably don't need to. they've got enough good women wrestlers, they just need to use them. and by that I mean they need to book more tag or trios matches

Lol the crying about Joe Hendry is great. And Joe Hendry himself is great too tbh. But the idea that he should have, or was ever going to, go over Randy Orton (i.e., a WWE legend who is about to enter a feud for the company's top belt with another legend) is ****ing crackers.
there was a lot of people talking past one another on this imo. Joe Hendry was buried and I don't see how anyone can argue that, but it's also true that it doesn't matter at all, and I don't see how anyone can argue that either. He's just counting down the days on his TNA contract. There's no reason for him to care about being buried. He's just trying to get his next gig and he knows that comes from doing jobs for WWE, not being a workrate champion in TNA. Obviously in the context of wrestling history, the TNA champion being buried in another promotion with basically no follow-up is absolutely insane, but it doesn't seem like Anthem cares about this anymore than Hendry does. it feels like Anthem have got one foot out the door too. If WWE offers them a good price for TNA, are they saying no?

We know that WWE previously tried to get Hendry to lose on Raw to the Miz, and the TNA guy in charge said no.

And then Anthem fired the TNA guy in charge (Ariel Shnerer).

There was other stuff at play, but it seems pretty clear to me that they just want to stay in WWE's good books for the moment and let things play out. And so their champion gets buried in another promotion.

but who knows, maybe now that Randy Orton is freed up, he'll pop up over on TNA and do the job back.

I think people often used "buried" to describe something happening that they don't like tbh. It's a massively overused, and wrongly used, term imo.

Someone losing, even decisively =/= being buried.

I get Spikey’s overall point, but wouldn’t personally call it a burial. He got to do his stuff on the biggest stage in pro wrestling, and then he ate an RKO.

Enjoyed Backlash. Not an event that will live long in the memory banks I’m sure but the first two matches were both class, and Cena Orton was a lot of fun.

I loved Sabu watching ECW growing up, mainly due to all the crazy stuff he did. Like a lot of wrestling from that time though, a lot of his matches are very hard to watch nowadays, given all the ridiculous shots to the head with chairs etc. He also seemed to be a bit of a problematic individual irl (e.g., all that business where JR where he shoot wished death upon him). RIP in any case.

I just hope it wasnt anything stemming from the match he did at GCW three weeks ago
Yeah what a horrible thought. Also there's this version of events related by Joey Janela:

“We are an hour into the show and I said, ‘Just get Sabu here,’" Janela continued. "So they gave him something called kratom. You can buy it at a smoke shop or something; it’s like a legal opiate or something. They said, ‘He's hopping on the bed, he's hopping off the bed, and we're going to get him to the show.’ So he shows up two hours into the show. Sabu was on a different f***ing planet. Everyone in the backstage was like, ‘What the f***? Is this match going to happen?’ And my God, did it happen.”

Moments into the match, Sabu went for a signature Air Sabu dive off of a chair, missed Janela and went chest-first into the barbed wire strands, with his head landing and sticking in a giant crate of barbed wire. It was an immediate sign to the audience that this wasn’t going to be a nostalgia match — that Sabu was going to go out on his own terms. Then, minutes later, Sabu got whipped into a barbed-wire board, which was resting on the barbed-wire ropes, and flipped backward out of the ring, landing in a heap.

“He was definitely out cold. He was done," Janela said. "They were telling me there was no way. The refs were communicating to me that there's no way he's continuing this match.

“Like holy s***, that is the one time you want the barbed wire to stop you. He just blew right through it.

“And then [old ECW rival] The Sandman came out and that was all Sabu needed, then the resurrection happened. Jesus resurrected two days later, the anniversary … couldn't f***ing believe it, dude. He was ready to go again. I guess that concussion knocked him back into 1996 or something, I don't know.”
