Lol the crying about Joe Hendry is great. And Joe Hendry himself is great too tbh. But the idea that he should have, or was ever going to, go over Randy Orton (i.e., a WWE legend who is about to enter a feud for the company's top belt with another legend) is ****ing crackers.
there was a lot of people talking past one another on this imo. Joe Hendry
was buried and I don't see how anyone can argue that, but it's also true that it doesn't matter
at all, and I don't see how anyone can argue that either. He's just counting down the days on his TNA contract. There's no reason for him to care about being buried. He's just trying to get his next gig and he knows that comes from doing jobs for WWE, not being a workrate champion in TNA. Obviously in the context of wrestling history, the TNA champion being buried in another promotion with basically no follow-up is absolutely insane, but it doesn't seem like Anthem cares about this anymore than Hendry does. it feels like Anthem have got one foot out the door too. If WWE offers them a good price for TNA, are they saying no?
We know that WWE previously tried to get Hendry to lose on Raw to the Miz, and the TNA guy in charge said no.
And then Anthem fired the TNA guy in charge (Ariel Shnerer).
There was other stuff at play, but it seems pretty clear to me that they just want to stay in WWE's good books for the moment and let things play out. And so their champion gets buried in another promotion.
but who knows, maybe now that Randy Orton is freed up, he'll pop up over on TNA and do the job back.
